I stopped in here one day because a part on my old mountain bike was making some unhappy noises — and after dealing with the staff here and getting to take a look at their shop I have since made this my go-to bike shop in Vancouver. Kissing Crows is a great bike shop. For some reason I have always enjoyed the vibe in small shops more than big warehouse style joints — it’s more personal. The staff here are awesome, always friendly, professional, skilled — and not once has anyone at this shop ever had a bad attitude or provided me with anything less than great service. this is not a cheap bike shop — I don’t mean to say that it is expensive — just that you will not find inexpensive lower quality parts and components here — this shop deals strictly in quality goods. and quality goods do cost more than the cheaper stuff you can get elsewhere. While I would whole heartedly recommend this shop for anything bike related — if you really only need to replace or repair some part for as cheap as humanly possible then this might not be the spot for you. Sometimes ya just need some ten dollar pedals — and there are other bike shops who cater to customers who want the cheaper stuff. As someone who puts a lot of stress on his components I learned a long time ago to shell out for the good parts rather than wear out three or four of the cheap ones — and I actually appreciate that these guys don’t even carry cheaper low quality wares. I ride a track bike a lot — and track bikes require track specific components. and Kissing Crows always has what I need! Chains, cogs, cranks, stems, bars … etc etc. Aside from having awesome parts and accessories this shop sells some very nice frames and complete bikes. Some of the bikes that I have seen built up here over the last year have been stunning — works of art! These guys definitely enjoy putting together dream bikes ;) I looked all across the city for french threaded bottom brackets with no luck at all — only to walk in here and have them ask me what spindle size I needed. Other shops just shrugged and said ‘good luck’ ;) — these guys had them under the counter in a variety of sizes. I’ve had two sets of wheels built here, awesome rock solid builds that I will enjoy for a long time to come. I also did a bike fitting here soon after discovering the place and have used the info I got from that hour long session to set up all my bikes since — much to my complete satisfaction and ultimate comfort. To be honest these guys played more than a tiny role in getting me re-stoked on cycling again. and for that I am grateful. I have learned to trust their judgement with regards to quality — and have allowed them to convince me to switch up my tires and to try a different brand for my new rims — and both turned out to be major improvements. highly recommended.

Had a bike fitting at Kissing Crows and am utterly delighted. All the staff were interesting and not sexist or homophobic. Josh was awesome and did a great job of explaining the fit process and explaining what options I had with my current bike and gave some other options that involved a new seat post and stem. I didn’t feel pressured to make these changes. My ride home from the shop was awesome. I think it’ll take a few days to get used to but I hope that this will help my tight shoulders, hamstrings and forearms. $ 50 for the fitting, which took over an hour, which feels super reasonable.

My bike rides like a dream! after a routine tune up at Kissing Crows Cyclery. Smooth gear changes, non-squealing brakes, makes my daily commute to work so easy and makes me want to ride for fun too. Mechanic found a mystery tire leak that had stumped 3 previous tuneups at a different bike shop. I will definitely bring my bike to them again!

Great guys working at this place, I just drove up from so cal and my bike took a beating on the back of my car! He went over the whole bike right in front of me and showed me the issues and gave me options on how to fix them. Super honest, good, down to earth people. It’s hard to find a good bike shop that you can trust. Knew every little thing about Santa Cruz Bicycles and how they rode, so I am excited to see how it turns out. These guys are the ones to go to if you want your sh*t done right!

Didn’t purchase anything from these folks, but went in looking for advice on the fit of a new bike and left very impressed by their honesty, friendliness, and professionalism. I look forward to bringing my business their way soon. Very cool looking shop and great service!

Staff were lovely, explained things well and they did a great job on my bike, faster and cheaper than their estimate. Will definitely go back!

Super thorough, quick, unpretentious and friendly service, even on small, minor jobs. This shop is just down the street with a neighbourhood feel and so glad it is! I will be back and like to support them.

Kissing Crows is a great bike shop for finding steel framed upright bicycles, bicycles for utility and transportation, and stylish commuters. Steel is real! Handsome, classic, practical, and buy it for life describes the style in the store. My impression was that kissing Crow Cyclery have the mechanics you could trust your every day errand or commuter bicycle with to be serviced but that their passion was in the details. I enjoyed sitting down with Ross to answer questions about how i ride and use a bicycle daily in order to pick out components for a bike I’d initially put together(very roughly) in my head. When i was there I noticed Civia Cycles, Firefly Bicycles, Spot Brand bicycles, velo orange accessories, brooks saddles, soma accessories, sks accessories, Busch & Müller lights, shimano dynamo hubs and internal gear hubs(ask about the alfine Di2 electric shifters!) and more that I’m forgetting. What caught my eye initially was the bicycle that Josh built for his lady, and then after that was a stunner by Handsome Cycles named the Handsome Devil; designed in Minneapolis, made in Taiwan, assembled by Kissing Crow. If you want your next bicycle to have curb appeal i think Kissing Crow Cyclery is your kind of place.

Cool shop. They have all custom builds– Civia, Handsome & All City. Nice selection of components. Great style and taste in bikes. Good service. Had a broken frame and I stopped in just to see what was in stock. Ended up buying a new frame which they tore down from one of the Handsome builds in shop just to sell me. Great price. They built it up with my old parts and I rode it home hours later. They even disposed of my old broken steel Raleigh frame too! I sent the GF in there for a tune-up and a new basket while they were on sale. I was a bit disappointed they nickel-and-dimed her for the basket installation. Thought it was too pricey for something she could have easily done herself. Tune-up was fine though and running good. I’ll definitely be back for parts and would recommend for new rides, but just not for minor services.

This shop is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. I concur that the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, I cannot comment on the awesomeness of the bathroom.
