A healthy, tasty treat in this food court, with good vegetarian options. This place is really quite unassuming. They have a pretty basic combo deal where you get rice, and then add one or two items and get a naan, for pretty cheap. The naans are pretty good, but not the greatest. Here’s the thing though. The butter chicken, lamb curry, matter paneer or whatever you get is really quite tasty and not at greasy or fatty at all. If you want a quick bite that won’t cost you much and fills you up without worries about your waistline, this is the place. If you want to skip meat, easy to do as well, plenty of vegetarian options. The same two or three ladies have been working there ever since it opened and obviously know how to cook. One little warning however. The food is all in the form of stews and sauces. By the time it sits on top of the rice, the whole seems like a rather unappealing lot. Don’t worry, that impression will go away as soon as you take a bite!

Off to Tinseltown for a movie? I happened upon this place while headed to a matinée at Tinseltown, around 1-ish and on my way up the escalator to the theatres, I noticed a giant lineup for this place in a mostly empty food court. So random! I bought my ticket and since I was early, I ventured back down to the food court to check out the fuss. Lineups for fast food Indian? In a food court??? In Tinseltown??? I know, so random, right? Turns out that the majority of the people were not shoppers nor movie goers but people who work in the area. After my matinée, we ventured back down to the food court and gave it a go. I had the lamb curry and my friend had the butter chicken and the chana masala and both were pretty decent fare. Sure there are better options for dining in the neighbourhood, Kalabash, Chambar, etc. But for a pre or post movie fix? Skip that extra box of popcorn and save room for this place. p. s. Oh, and wander down to the first floor to Yokoyaya, downtown’s answer to Daiso, which is Japan’s answer to our very own Dollar store, but where almost everything is $ 2. I never walk out of there empty handed.

Having read the other reviews, I’m wondering if I just ordered the wrong thing. I got the chana masala, and it’s the spiciest yet least flavourful chana masala I’ve had. It’s not bad, but I’ve made it as well at home, so it’s not something I’d come back for. Great value and a super quick meal. If I was craving Indian food in the neighbourhood again, I’d try a different curry. Overall: meh!

Oh my goodness how I drool for this place. If ever I crave Indian for some reason I am always drawn to this little place. Could be the fact that when we used to go we would go often and when I mean often I mean we would not have to place an order as the owner would just know what we wanted. However, this is no longer the case as we are out in suburbia now and only get to frequent this delish little gem every so often when we visit Tinseltown to catch a flick. If ever in the area make sure to give them a try. Curry n’ a Hurry. Yum!

When I lived in the area I would frequent this place often for some cheap curry. It’s just a little food court place in Tinseltown but in my opinion it’s probably one of the better places to eat there. The butter chicken and matter paneer are consistently good but the naan can be hit or miss. If the naan is fresh out of their tandoori oven it’s great, if it’s been waiting out front for a new home then not so much.

I grabbed a tasty plate of Indian food here before heading to a show at Cinemark Tinseltown. The service was quick as there was no one else in line — their combo deals are good value. I tried the butter chicken and the chickpea curry, which both had lots of flavor and were carefully cooked. The serving, for me, was a little less than I’d expect(no troubles earning dessert!) and found the naan unmemorable. Mine wasn’t cooked to order. I also grabbed a steaming hot chai. It’s funny how your dinner is ready-to-go but tea takes about 10 minutes to make. Fast food just flips things upside down. As I do love Indian food it would again be my top pick in the Tinseltown food court, but I wouldn’t make the special trip.

Located on the second level food court in Tinseltown Mall, India’s Flavour is a mainstay in our household and a regular go-to on nights when we just don’t feel like cooking! For a nominal fee, you can get two very tasty Indian cuisine specialties with rice and Naan bread. The lovely owners always over-serve, so you get even more food value for your buck! My roommates and I have tried just about everything in the food court and I can definitely say that India’s Flavour is by far, the best!
