I went to Starlet for the first time today. I just want to get rid of my long hair and cut it short — shoulder length. I’m glad that when I called them they could accept me to come on the same day. Since it was my first time there, I have no preference for stylist. There’s this nice young lady, Ji, who gave me excellent service. I really like result :) Since i have round face, i’m afraid that short hair is going to make my face rounder like a ball, but she did a great job to cover my cheeky cheeks. The price is reasonable, i paid $ 30(+ $ 5 extra if you want to get shampooed) for hair cut and blow dry. And Ji did it diligently, she took her time to make sure it looks good. I will definitely come back… plus, there’s free wifi available :)

I’ve been coming here for haircuts for a few times now by a friend’s recommendation. I always feel welcomed by the hairdressers whenever I come since my first visit. Women’s haircuts are wonderful here especially if you’re Asian, they are experts on it. Each time I go, we always talk about what I want and they suggest certain styles that would suit both my face shape and my want — I would always get the best results. Conversations feel natural and comfortable, I always enjoy my time here. Hair coloring is quite debatable though — I couldn’t get the color I wanted last time — however haircuts by Sunny has never failed me. Last time she cut my hair(it’s been 2 months!) I STILLGETCOMPLIMENTS. There are water, teas, coffee, wifi and magazines so if you come with a friend or family, they should be fine for the duration of your haircut. Again, if you’re an Asian female looking to get a nice haircut, I would definitely recommend this place.

I came here on the recommendation of my sister. I had a decent haircut here in the range of $ 20 – 25(I can’t remember the exact price). I just asked for a few inches trimmed off, and it was definitely reasonable compared to the Japanese salons downtown that charge $ 30+. The hairstylist I had, Sunny, was friendly and not overly chatty which is nice. I felt kind of disappointed that I didn’t get a shampoo/blow dry though, which I think is supposed to be included in the haircut price. The end result was a little uneven and I still have a lot of split ends which might be because my hair was cut dry??? I’m going to try another visit and ask for the shampoo/blow dry to make sure it isn’t left out next time.

Just started going here about a month ago through a recommendation of a friend. It is located right beside the McDonald’s on Bidwell. The prices are reasonable at $ 22 for a haircut, and a shampoo before and after the haircut. Although the place is predominantly for Koreans, as a non-Korean, I find that issue a non-factor. I’ve gone with Susan and have been fairly happy.
