Cheap, somewhat clean, and quite tasty. This is what I’m talking about. Free parking is available on the side streets, or just a block S on Cambie. Or if you like throwing away your hard-earned cash, there’s metered parking on the street. Came here as part of a large group, so we ordered a banquet-style dinner. The staff were very friendly, and let us swap items out of the pre-set menu. Not sure about Peter W’s experience but the staff did tell us about any price changes, so we didnt’ have a problem in that department. A dinner for 7 people cost only $ 98 before modifications, tax and tip. This is probably one of the cheapest banquets I’ve ever been to. They even have a $ 78 option available. To be honest I feel kind of bad because I’m not sure how much of a profit they’d turn at this price. All of their dishes were standard fare, with a few dishes worth mentioning. Oh, the other thing I really liked was that none of their dishes were too greasy(common problem). This applies especially to their fried rice. My favourite dishes were their honey fried pork chops and cold chopped chicken. The pork was cooked just right and was sizzing hot. The cold chopped chicken had just the right amount of flavour, and also wasn’t too greasy. Next time I need a venue for a banquet, I’ll be back. Recommended.

We had dinner here, set menu but we wanted to exchange items, waiter took great care to make sure we know we have to pay extra, when we came home and looked at the ad, it seems we were overcharged $ 10 — but because my brother did the order and agreed to the price surcharges, he looked at the bill and said OK. So do your math and watch the bill if you wanted to change items from the set menu. Maybe this could be an isolated issue with us. For this I have to knock my 4 stars down to 3 stars. Back to the staff, some new and some old from previous years when this place had a different name, In general, services were good/excellent. Food came not salty/or too oily as we requested … a plus. Good portions — another plus. Food taste and quality are good, Not much MSG after effect. Definitely worth for a second visit — for lunch to see why Annie M did not like it.

I found it another congee/noodles restaurant that grand opened on Cambie street and got a chance to try for lunch today. Most of HK style café and causal Chinese restaurant are serve fish soup base combo noodles for lunch now, this one is the same. Of coz, the fish soup base just average and not impress at all. The green been and ground pork fried rice was much better than noodles soup. Hmmm. Ok to try but don’t expect good food here.
