By far best donair I have ever had, quality service for sure, I’ll definitely come back.

Portion small for the prices it charges. I would go to Donair Dude down the street for better meat and more selection of veggies and bigger donair.

My boyfriend and I are from Seattle and go to Vancouver about 4 times a year. We come here every trip… Why? They have the best poutine you’ll ever have in your life. On top of that, the owner is full of positive energy! Enough said.

I ordered the beef donair and there was barely any meat and the donair was hard and crusty after being grilled. My friend and I went there for lunch on a Friday around 12:30 and there was nobody in there except the chef, but he still made us wait several minutes while he went into the back room and puttered around a bit before coming back out to take our order.

When ever I’m downtown I always save time for a chicken donair! It has to be the tastiest kebab shop I’ve ever been in. Ah I want one now just thinking about it.

The owner of this store was horrible the night we went in. He watched me and my girlfriend sit their for 20 minutes before he even decided to let us know we had to pre pay before we order. When we did finally pay and order he pre made our wraps with another order that jump ahead of us. When I told him we did not want the wraps he made for us he told me that«my girlfriend was being fussy». He then provided to tell me that if I wanted it changed I should have told him. When I said that we were just not sure whether or not he was just finishing the order before us he said«you should of known». Even though the whole time he was speaking another language to the customers before us. When I asked if he could just remake the wraps he had made us after waiting 40 minutes he said no. I ended up buying two wraps throwing one out(with the owner watching me do so, due to the fact that’s my girlfriend could not eat it) and having to just eat what he decided was good for me. I’ve eaten here many times before and it was always great and enjoyable but tonight has torn me up so much that in writing this review and hopping other people will just avoid this man, and his lack for customer appreciation and concern. I’ll never eat here again. This is coming form a customer of over six years who has enjoyed the food and service, I’m not sure what has happened here but I’m sorry to say but honestly it was just as simple as listening to your customer and preventing your great wraps that you are known for.

Sad to say, but this place has gone downhill big time :(Many good meals here in the past but my last was absolutely horrible. Chicken was old and dry, plus they gave no rice. Side came with only fries only, even though in the past they always gave rice. Plus they show it in the picture, so gimme my rice! For the side, some salad that seemed to be sitting out for awhile. Price was not cheap either for the platter considering what we got. Actually felt totally ripped off. Giving it 3 stars hoping that was a one time thing, I will probably give it a shot again when owner is there and will update. I would highly recommend avoiding the place when he is not working.

I think this is the biggest bang for your buck type of place. I’ve tried the chicken platter, chicken donair and falafel wrap. They are all around $ 7, and they are always generous with the portions. You know how at some places you get inconsistent portions or skimp on the veg or meat? It’s really cheap of those places to do that! You don’t have to worry about that here. As the other reviewers have mentioned the portions are huge(American portion), making it a very satisfying eat when you are hungry! Of course the food is very flavorful, and never heavy on the stomach. The pickled turnips are my favorite! This place also deserves 5 stars because of the outstanding customer service. The guy working at the evening is one of the most generous, and nicest guy ever. He’s always upbeat and cheerful any given time which leaves a very good impression. Thank you so much! I am a regular and plan on staying one. One of my favorite places for a quick meal when I don’t feel like cooking dinner.

This place has the best falafel wraps in the 604! Nice big wraps with a little bit of everything… And they grill them for you after! Plus they have pickled turnips! Nice little perks that they don’t have in many other falafel wrap places that I’ve been to. This place isn’t the coziest, but it’s a little hidden gem that your tastebuds will thank you for after!

Admittedly, my experience with Greek gyros is limited, but DAMN these are HUGE gyros!!! Are they really supposed to look like a gigantic burrito? No matter, I really don’t care. It was FANTASTIC!!! The shop is located on Granville, just before Davie street, heading south. Very little street parking, especially on the weekends, but I think it’s worth the effort. Prices are reasonable, which can be unusual in downtown Vancouver, making it even more appealing. The gyro/burrito was about $ 7.50. Service was good, but since it’s mostly a take out joint, the seating was limited, if not non-existent. The next time I’m in Vancouver, Falafel Town will definitely be on my list for a quick bite.

Tasty enough. They have less variety than nearby Donair Dude. The storefront has a big open door/window, so if people are smoking out front, the wind blows it inside.

Disclaimer: I *may* have had beer buds when I ate here last night(it’s a term I’m coining — it’s like beer goggles, but for your taste buds) Disclaimer #2: I’m mostly vegan — so they made some substitutions involving leaving out tzaziki and I think using hummus or tahini instead. They also put Tabbouleh in mine, which I absolutely freaking love. I don’t know if they always do that, but they definitely should. Falafel King did not disappoint. I expected a decent Falafel, as it’s one of those things that seems to rarely get funked up. What I didn’t expect was the ginormous portion size for the price. $ 6.50 for a *giant* Falafel sandwich. It’s been about 11 hours and I’m still kind of full. And it was delicious too! A lot of the other negative reviewers seem to be confused about what Falafel is. Here’s one shining example: «One of the worst falafel I had in a long time. Flavorless, dry chicken meat, wrapped in a dry pita bread.» See, chicken and falafel aren’t the same thing. So I thought I would leave this place a fair review on, y’know, the actual falafel. Since it was absolutely delightful, the service was great, and the portion size was phenomenal! $ 6.50 for a meal this size in Vancouver is an absolute steal! Will definitely be back, any time I’m downtown, especially late at night since this place is open til 5 in the freaking AM!

I went in because they had the Halifax Donair advertized. boy was I surprised to find french fries, and pickles on my donair with no magical Halifax Donair sauce. Come on guys! if you’re gonna advertise a Halifax Donair do it right. and p. s. less french fries and more meat please!

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I went there at around 1:30 on a Monday. I got excited when I saw him go to cut the chicken right off of the skewer – usually it’s just sitting in a warmed container in most places. That excitement quickly waned as he then put it into the microwave. I guess it’s just for show, and the meat was actually just sitting there at room temperature for who knows how long. He used two wraps to make my sandwich, making it extra-bready tasting. I thought removing one of them would improve things, but rather, all it did was enhance the awful flavor of the shwarma itself — charred, lukewarm, flavourless meat, and«hot sauce» which tasted like mushy curry powder. I hope this place doesn’t stay open much longer, so something else can take its place. Unfortunately, I’m sure it’s kept open by less discerning Granville St. partiers(Not anything against the folks on Granville St.-my taste buds are less picky when I’m drunk, too). I’m desperately searching for a place to get a half decent donair without having to venture to the west end, and so far, no luck.

Likes: location, chicken donair, casual service, hours Dislikes: lack of seats, washroom was broken Background: Went here for a casual late dinner on Saturday night with my boyfriend. It was around 9 pm. My Experience: This was my second time going to this joint. It’s very casual, and the ones who make the food are very casual as well. They told us that they are open from 11 am until 5 am everyday to serve those in the Entertainment District, which is Granville St. I got a chicken donair… it was huge! It was very tasty, and better than my boyfriend’s beef donar(his and my opinion). They really pack the wrap up with lots of veggie, so you somewhat feel healthy. They had a couple of bar stools for you to eat on, but their washroom was unavailable that night. I can see this place getting busier as the night goes(clubbers), so it’s good to have this option around town. Value was good: we spent about $ 20 for donairs and juice bottles. The donairs were huge. Didn’t I already say that? Verdict: I will return on casual nights. Otherwise, it’s not super special. It’s just a good place to be at :)

*13/30* One of the best options for late-night or fast dining in this area. It does feel ‘healthy’ as they pack them full of veggies and toppings — good stuff. I loove the pickled turnips. they are my favourite part. I’m not sure why, but they’re just so delicious. Quite tasty — but I don’t really eat shawarma that often, so I can’t really verify if Falafel Town is the Best in Town. I do know that the guys that work there are always really friendly, and overly tolerant of drunken fools. I only rate 4* because once I got a chicken shawarma and the meat was a little bit too old and dry. The falafel is good though and all the other times, the chicken has been good too.

It’s okaaaaaay. 2AM in the moning when I come out into the Douchebag Entertainment District, after a few drinks, I suddenly needed the urge to eat something. Something. Something reasonably healthy and won’t do too much damage to me. Good luck finding that at this time of night. Ended up coming here. The place is ghetto. Suprisingly, no douchebags, at least yet. Lot of girls with very tight short skirts. So short that they are constantly pulling it down to cover up after two steps they take on their skanky-ho-heels. They must have ADS(Attention from Douchebags Syndrome) or they need their fill of it for the night. Uuuuuhmmmm ok. They were minding their own business and giggling. The place is narrow and there was not much seating. Chicken shawarma. Had it to go. It tasted ok. Had way too much raw garlic for my taste. In fact, I still taste the garlic, and it’s 9AM the next day. The thin pita was wrapped around the filling, which consisted of chicken, veggies and some sauce. The pita was chewy, too chewy for my taste. Other than that, it was fine. I slowly gnaw at it as I walk up and down the streets some more to work it off a bit. It’s ok, it won’t kill me to eat this.

Sorry, their claim to be the best in town is not very accurate… like at all. *Warning the following review may be disturbing for some reviewers* This ish gave me gas, seriously. I ordered the Chicken Donair, which was quite pricey by the way, almost $ 8 and there wasn’t even much selection to put on it(lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeño and onion… that was basically it). I am not one to trash a place so I am going to be as nice as I can… but this place probably goes very last on my list of places to get donairs. Went here on my lunch break around noon. Literally, ALLDAYGAS from there forward. ALLDAY. No joke. Very uncomfortable, I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this, maybe it is just me… Maybe I have a sensitive stomach or maybe it was just my good ol’ luck. But I wouldn’t take another chance. Sorry.

Won’t you take me to Falafeltown? Won’t you take me to Falafeltown! Won’t you take me to Falafeltown? Won’t you take me to Falafeltown! [Instrumental Interlude] When the song«Falafeltown» hit the charts in 1980, disco was declining in popularity, but falafel continues to grow in popularity to this day. Especially in my belly. I highly recommend the chicken falafel: it’s a big healthy meal for less than $ 10. The owner is also an interesting and friendly guy.
