I was keen to try Ed’s Daily due to it being an excellent option for good eats and coffee. Food wise I haven’t been disappointed. Lunch is probably the best time to go. Just go before 2pm cause they are closed already. Lately I have been in there before work for coffee, both times the coffee was weak or cold and because the girl at till also makes the coffee, which for speed just doesn’t work. No matter if the barista is fast etc. Quality goes down if their isn’t time put thought into what your doing. Also the pastries seem rather sweet and cost with a coffee is a bit much, like $ 7 plus. I personally might pick a different pastry, if they were priced. I wouldn’t want to ask the till person each price especially since she already is running around with lots to do. So I will hit up this place if I have time but might not go if time is tight. Also if I am craving a decent Avocado on toast.

The service is great, the food is good but way too expensive for the child sized portions they give you. Skip Ed’s Daily and check out the Uncommon Café instead.

Beautiful space. Very busy at lunch. Grumpy staff — Have never seen the Eds but I’m sure they’re lovely. Food is quite nice, expensive for the ‘hood!

I had the daily lunch special(happened to be a lamb curry). The cost was $ 12.50, which was great value given the quality of the food. The space is open and clean. The chef delivered my meal and chatted about the food and the concept. She seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. I will recommend to anyone.

I have been here a few times. Great addition to an evolving hood with a positive vibe. Great soups and sandwiches. Customer service was friendly and prices are on par. A little more work needs to be made on the ambiance, however, we’re getting there step by step.

Very spacious and nicely laid out spot in Strathcona, looks like it will be a hit with the locals. I only stopped in to try a drip coffee and was sadly very disappointed. I asked for a dark roast and was given a very unappealing light bodied coffee. Hopefully they offer some better more traditional roasts given you’re paying a premium. Prices seem somewhat steep for the area but understandable for not being a chain.

Great coffee, amazing food! The chicken bahn mi is highly recommended. The breakfast wrap is also good. Unfortunately, the are only open weekdays. I’m hoping that will change soon.

Beautifully designed space, friendly service, quality food @ a great price. I had the Kale Soba Noodle salad + an Americano– both superb. Welcome to the neighborhood guys!
