I’m visiting town for a few weeks and needed to find a place to get my monthly trim. I was ready to accept something below the standard I expect from the place I’ve been going to for 8 years at home, but hoped for the best. I was served by Katrina, who a great job with my simple classic request(1 and 5). No complaints, and she even managed pretty well with my irregular spots. The icing on the cake was the student discount(for a total of $ 15CAD instead of $ 16). Even without the discount, and even with the USD/CAD exchange advantage at the moment, that’s cheaper than my regular place. So thanks!

Excellent hair cut by Max, reasonable price. I went to several shops in the west side, finally found him to be the best. Neil

Cheaper than Berni’s down the road, but make sure you are ABSOLUTELYCLEAR if Dino(the old guy who owns the place) cuts your hair. I went in and asked for a TRIM, short on the sides and longer on top. His only question was«long enough to comb» and I said yeah, sure. He ended up shaving all over my head except for a small patch in the front that was about twice the length of everything else(it looked ridiculous). I went back that day, and asked him if he could blend it a little since there was such a stark difference in length, and he said sure. Instead of blending, and taking off a little more to make it respectable, he shaved it all… Two stars — one for being the cheapest in Kerrisdale, and the other for friendliness and willingness to fix things up. But if I wanted to have my head shaved for $ 17(15+tip), then I would have gone across to London Drugs, picked up a clipper and done it myself. Nice guy, nostalgic little barber shop, but based on the haircut I got…
