This little bakery certainly lives up to its hype. I went here over the weekend and bought a CHEESEKALEBISCUIT and a DOUGHGIRLSBISCUIT. The cheese kale is as it sounds, delicious, buttery, crumbly and cheesy = melt in your mouth delightful! However the Doughgirls biscuit was probably the best biscuit I’ve ever had. 5⁄5 Doughgirls! Obviously I will be returning. I want to try the Turkey Pot Pie, the Vegetarian Lasagne and your espresso!

Looking at all these reviews makes it kind of hard to believe its the same doughgirls I’ve been to. I first decided to give the place a try when my girlfriend brought me back one of their Double Chocolate Cookies. The cookie was great so I decided to have lunch there one time back from class. To my disappointment the Shepard’s Pie was bland and so was the tea. I went back a second time for their brownie and this time for a mocha. Found the brownie to be too dry and hard for my liking and the mocha is easily beat by Blenz half a block down. I decided the only thing worth getting was their Double Chocolate Cookies and went back several times. However, the last 3 times I went the cookies seemed to have become thinner and much harder, it would seem that the store is trying to cut down on margin for one of their best selling item(based on my assumption due to the many times they were sold out the cookie). The staff and store itself is very nice but I find it difficult to give the café/bakery any better ratings when it lacks in quality their two main products(pastries and coffee) and even manage to mess up the one remaining product I found appealing.

Whoever runs this place really knows their stuff this is a Classic Bakery Café-with a little bit of everything for everyone. Nice neighbourhood feel tucked away on a kind of back street out in Wesbrook Village you might drive right by this place which would be a shame. All the baked goods are to die for especially the so called biscuits which to me are more like plain Scones-from-heaven. Baguettes are under $ 2 which is hard to believe these days.

Delicious, high quality food with very attentive and friendly staff. Love the decorum inside the shop & the free samples! The prices are a bit steep, but it is understandable due to the quality and also somewhat out-of-the-way location. Maybe a cheaper«day old» baked good basket would make it more attractive for students.

I have been here a few times when in the UBC area for a decent cup of coffee, grilled sandwich and a muffin. They’re not cheap but they’re not that expensive either. There is a chill ambiance, nothing to fancy but still inviting. Mostly students here who study. Customer service is friendly. I appreciate that they support local and organic which is setting a very good example compared to the other eatery options around campus.

Although i didn’t have a great impression of the store earlier, after going back and giving it another go, the desserts amazed me and the use of organic products that supported local farms gave me a sense of comfort. Price is a little on the expensive side buy you have to pay for what you get.

It is really hard to get a perfect double espresso in the UBC/West Point Grey area, and this is the place to do it. And that goes perfectly with the best croissants, biscuits, or many other sweet treats. There is also a frozen pie section, and their lamb shepard’s pie, made with lamb and yams, which is perfect to have in your freezer for emergencies. I am also impressed with the service and the smiles from the staff, which made me feel really welcome. Try it out!!!

Just picked up the apple crumble pie. Oh my! Delish and huge. Tuesdays is also 2 for 1 slices of cake or pie. Lovely place and fantastic cakes too. Great addition to campus.

Best café/bakery on campus. Their cold brewed tea was superb! For sweets, I tried blond bombshell cookie, brownies and fruit pie and they were all good! Just like the sweets I love: Rich but not overly sweet! Not only that, you can get a loaf of bread too!!! This is very convenient because the option for the bakery is limited on campus. The price is also fair considering the quality. The quality of this café/bakery is almost comparable to those privately owned café/bakery on main street. I can’t believe there’s this kind of oasis on campus!

They were kind enough to heat up my brownie. It was soooooo good and chocolatey! Brownie — YAY — It was very chocolatey. Every time I come here, I like to peak in their window where the bakers working. It’s where the magic happens :)

I really wanted to like this place, I really, really did! The décor is charming and a throwback to the 40s era, the front-counter staff has always been polite and helpful. However, the baking failed to impress me, the coffee is OK, and I would appreciate the seating more if they had more small tables instead of a giant, shared table. Most times, I prefer to sit and chat with a friend rather without having to share a table with a bunch of giddy high school kids copying each other’s science homework over a giant table with a width that feels more like family dinner table than coffee date with bestie size.

So happy that this bakery opened in Wesbrook Village! Their breads are fantastic, easily as good or even better than many popular bakeries here in Vancouver. The desserts are heavenly(try the Tiramisu!) — we also bought a few pre-made goodies for dinner the other night — a shepherd’s pie and a southwest style chicken dish which were AMAZING. We were pleasantly surprised as we typically pop by just for fresh bread and coffee. Now they’ve moved into our takeout rotation! Love this place! Also incredibly charming décor and really nice, friendly staff.
