Service. again, something that Vancouver seemingly has abandoned… I love DQ and I have been to a few and this is no Dairy Queen. More like a Dairy sadness store. Rude employees, very apathetic, and not able to perform simple tasks… I had a girl make me a sundae and hand it to me looking like a pile of ice cream soup. when I said«could you please try that again, this won’t really work out » , she then made 2 more«soupdays» each time making it seem like I had asked her to clean an outhouse, and when she couldn’t make one right, she just threw up her hands and said«I don’t know how to do this, so you’ll just have to deal with what I make». so I replied«I don’t think so» and cancelled the soupdays. Then when I got the rest of my order(which by the way, when you get take out here, they always make the ice cream first, and let it melt while it takes them FOREVER to make your food). I got it home to find that they apparently threw the ingredients across the room to top the burger. the bacon was raw or just terrible at best, the food was cold, half the order was wrong, and handed to me by a guy who seemed like he had completely just checked out. Didn’t even try to take it back because I knew they wouldn’t be able to complete the simple return task. Won’t be back here again.

The blizzard and ice creams are okay, but DONT eat their burgers and fries! It’s HORRIBLE. Ride a bus, eat at McDonald’s.

This is a good Dairy Queen location. The food is always good and fresh. My one complaint is that they tend to close early. I’ve gone there on multiple occasions approximately 45 minutes before their posted closing time, only to be told that their grill is already closed. The doors are also often locked before 10:30PM, the time that they post as their closing time. I would suggest that this location be more honest about their hours, and say that they stop making hot food at 9:30PM, and that they close their doors at 10:15PM. Either that, or honour their currently stated hour of operation.

Thoroughly enjoyed my chili cheese dog and strawberry cheesecake + cookie dough blizzard. The chicken burger could’ve used a little more lettuce though. Also where were the Dilly Bars? Good service and friendly staff. I’m a fan

Bought a cake here for my daughter’s 6th birthday and found a hair engrained in the cake. Returned the cake and demanded my money back which I got, but the I manager/owner didnt even apologize or at the very least offer another cake. Either way, this location is right next door to me, but after this incident I don’t see myself going back; especially to this location.

Had a combo and the fries were so cold and stale we were seriously shocked. They made us new ones. The blizzard was good though.

It takes me nearly 10 minutes to walk to this DQ, their advertised hours are 10:30 — 10:30, if you expect them to honor their hours you’re wrong. I’ve walked to this DQ4 – 5 times only to find out that they’re already closed and gone by 10:15. I was just there today at 10:15 and they had their door locked while I seen the workers inside eating Blizzards and chillin’, maybe getting paid to do that? Anyways me and about 6 other people all came at 10:15 and all of us left dissapointed. Quality wise their stuff has always been good when I do order there, but because of their hours and me wasting nearly a hundred minutes walking back and forth only to find out they closed early I’m giving them three stars… other wise if that problem didn’t exist it would be four.

I hit this one up at summer for their dilly bars. It takes 1 hour to walk there from my house and another back. Enough calories to burn off one of these. During that time of month I have odd cravings and the price is right. I don’t recommend coming here for anything else other than ice cream as their fast food selections look rather questionable.

You can’t go wrong with a DQ Blizzard! They had a buy one blizzard get the 2nd for 99 cents so you bet I took advantage of that! I tried the French Silk Pie blizzard not really knowing what was in it and it was the best blizzard I have every had!!! And much like the previous review I noticed they were very generous with the servings at this location!

I’ve been to many Dairy Queens in my lifetime. Usually, the service is quite good and the ice cream is made well and fast. Not so with this location. We ordered two Blizzards. The cashier was not friendly at all. He didn’t proactively give us our receipt. We had to ask for it, which he then hastily tore from the rest of the receipts that were sticking out from the machine. No smile, no nothing. I’ve experience bad service before, so that’s fine. However, once the person behind us ordered, the cashier decided to make his order first! I asked him why the customer got his before ours when we ordered first. He said«cause I made it». What difference does it make? Orders should be made in sequence. You can’t pick and choose. He didn’t apologize, but decided to then help his coworker out with our Blizzards. My favourite banana split Blizzard was über runny. They didn’t even attempt to put it upside down. When I asked for his name, he mumbled it, then smirked. Who knows if that was even his name. Definitely not returning to this Dairy Queen. There are better ones out there.

I love this location… not only because it’s close, but also because they know what they’re doing. I can’t help but compare and contrast here… sure it’s a chain and I frequent most of the other locations(Denman, Carleton and Hastings), but they seem to be the best at making whatever I ask for. My blizzard(Strawberry Cheesequake) is always thick and full of cheesecake. My dipped cone is always large enough for me not to question why I didn’t get the Blizzard. The best deal going is the take home litre… $ 5-something. During the summer, it’s always packed. It’s a popular location… there is seating inside and outside. Right now, I am sitting inside. Well, not right now, but this month. I am torn up inside that I didn’t make it in time for a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, so French Silk Pie had to do.
