This little café is situated inside the Vancouver Convention Centre(East) at Canada Place. It has only a few tables and a small selection of standard café drinks & food. What I like best here is their maple bacon scone. I always get it heated up and with an extra side of butter. The bacon bits on the fluffy scone really add to the overall flavour. On Thursdays, they have a combo special: scone + drip coffee for $ 4. The drip coffee is actually pretty good here. I tried their breakfast sandwich once before, but wasn’t impressed. It was very dry and hard, probably because they use a microwave to heat it up. Nonetheless, this café is definitely one of my fave hidden gems in downtown, with delicious scones and a great view overlooking the waterfront at Canada Place!

I was craving a snack but I didn’t know what I wanted. I just happened to walk by the Coal Harbour Café as my tummy grumbled and I noticed a sign for a $ 3 smoothie. Intrigued, I walked in and couldn’t help but want one of their delicious looking pastries instead. I opted for a lemon blueberry scone. It was as good as it looked and only $ 3.15(after tax). It was quite large too! It was flaky, soft, and hit all the flavour palates. Just thinking about it makes me want another one. It’s a great grab and go place. I’ll be back to try their other treats!

Amazing place to sit and enjoy the view while using some WiFi and coffee. Pastries are good and very quiet café with a nice view of Stanley Park. Good tourist stop while checking out Canada convention centre. One of the nice cafes in Downtown Vancouver:

Came here to check out the cosplay in action or the animé convention. Decided to have a Chai tea latte. Please note they only have hot ones. On a hot day(27 degrees) with no air con in this hidden gem café place I drank my latte. I was so sweaty. They don’t have the comfortable seating. But it’s good you can look at the cruise ship parked in front. Kind of OK water view. But definitely you do get to enjoy the awesome view of the parked cruise ship. The latte is good. But it doesn’t have that strong Chai tea kick to it. Is a hidden gem. And not a lot of ppl know about it. The place is quite small. Staff are very friend. Well just two people working. They do have a fancy latte maker so it’s a real latte that you will be enjoying.

I must recommend the café if you’re at a show in the new convention hall west. It’s quiet and the coffee is from local roaster Moja, one of my favourites! I had a delicious soy cappuccino, and I just heard that they will soon also be selling Moja whole beans! For me it was the BC Home and Garden Show in the huge hall downstairs that lead to the discovery of the café. It’s on the street level, on the west side of the vastly cavernous building and with an astounding view of the water and mountains, a nice hideaway from the craziness, directly across the street from the telus building. *Also, the Olympic Torch is right out the window! Good coffee,(better than S*rbx across the street) and there are pannini’s and other snacks.
