Atmosphere: It doesn’t look like a Blockbuster that is for sure, more inviting and more indie. It is small, however, you if you’re a cinema fan just looking for the right, perhaps obscure movie, this is the place. Service: The lady at the cash til was really friendly. She really liked her horror movies and I love talking about them which was awesome. I appreciate service people that aren’t afraid to be sociable. Prices: This is a rental place, however, looking at their pricing it is very reasonable. I bought a DVD of a horror movie that was on my bucket list on clearance for $ 5 as part of Car Free Day on Main street which was awesome. Side Notes: I am not sure if I am at the point of renting movies full time as now you can buy movies really cheap, older titles for less than $ 5 at HMV or borrow them at the library, however, it Is good to know that this option is available for me.

This is a great, very tiny video store on the Main Street Stroll. They have an nice selection of independent & foreign films, limited only because of the size of the shop. A few years back we walked into Cinephile and met«Little Britain»(they were way ahead on carrying it). I have to leave a shout out to Cinephile because they are a great, local business to support. They give great suggestions & information. They care about what they«sell» and about their customers. Case in point: We often stay in Vancouver 7 to 10 days for a holiday. We came into Cinephile, loved the selections and asked for a membership. While they prudently debated giving us privileges(we’re from Washington, US, after all!) they DID let us join… and we are able to see great films in our hotel room thanks to them! Just another little special place adding to the excellent vibe on Main Street!
