Stay away when they are renting the space for promotors It was a weeknight and my co-workers(6 females) were still ready to celebrate after a party. We went to Caprice as we have been several times but this time it was dead nobody was in line which was very unusual. The bouncer said we would need tickets to get in? He directed us to talk to some teeny looking asian girls and said they had the tickets and to talk to them. We went over to ask what kinda of night they were promoting and without answering one of the asian girls snatched her friends hand away said no in Chinese and dragged her sway. Bewildered we went back to the bouncer as he was watching what was going on, he shrugged his shoulders and said sorry you have to talk to them? Yeah right like were going to stop our night to chase and argue a group of catty teeny boppers that didn’t even look old enough to get in. Whomever spent the money to put on the show that obviously flopped due to thinking little girls would bring in clientele consider some business classes and as for Caprice thats the last time we went, we found a place that caters to adults.

I came here with my buddy it seems like a nice club but it seems like there is no security once you enter the door. I don’t recommended comming here by yourself but it a pretty cheap to get in. This place has a full bar and huge screens everywhere and vip tables. From my experience like it more for people around the ages of 21 – 25 to mingle. Damn fancy hiphop club one of. the best in vancouver.

When I was 19 I thought the Caprice was the best f****** thing in town, and it was. Great place for anyone 19 – 21. The last time I went there, there was vomit all over 3 tables an the floor, and had notified a staff member about it so someone could clean it, and they said they would. 20 minutes later or so later they had cleaned it, after several people had slipped in it… :/Other than that, the staff seems friendly, organized(other than that), and fun.

BESTHIP-HOPCLUBINVANCOUVER! Actually best club I’ve ever been to period! I don’t know why the ratings are so low for this place it was truly the highlight to my birthday weekend in Canada! Yeah maybe the girl bartenders are a little rude but everything else rocked! Love this place! They close down the street it’s on plus there’s bars and other clubs around it! Get on the guest list and get yourself free cover!

Honestly, this is probably the best overall club in Vancouver. I’ve always liked it. Always good music and drinks. They are consistent. Sure you might get an arrogant bouncer… but it’s Vancouver. So I would choose this place over anywhere else on Granville. They’ve been around for awhile without changing thier name and trying to re open. That says something I think.

Caprice is the go to club on Wednesdays. Usually I’ll hit the club around 10 to get free tickets from the promoters on Granville st. The doormen are friendly when you get to know them, Justin, Doug and Rob are class acts! The music is bumping on Wednesdays and the drinks are cheap, less than $ 4 for a highball. This is the busiest club on Wednesday nights. The lineups are long on the weekends too so make sure you call ahead to get on g-list. If you pay to go into LED, you’ll also get access to Caprice so you have 2 clubs to choose from(sometimes).

My experience might have been an isolated incident, but I get the feeling(after reading others similar to mine) that it was not. My friend and I got groped after being in the club for 5 minutes(I know it’s a club but come ON), after waiting in line to get in for 25 – 30 minutes. Thank god we got in for free because if I had paid the price to get in I would have had a little more to say. Overall better music quality than other clubs(top 40) but really the crowd it attracts is… not classy… but more trashy, and the guys there are abnormally creepy(and this coming from a girl who traveled in Italy essentially by herself). I would definitely not go here again.

Overall, I like this place. As far as finding a top 40 dance club in Vancouver, this is probably your best bet. I hate their lineup fiasco– my advice is to go early, get a stamp, and grab drinks at a nearby pub until about 1030-11 when the place starts getting really fun. The cover charge can be annoying($ 12 I think?) but you can usually walk Granville and find someone giving away free passes. The DJ has always been pretty decent, though they have tended to experiment and it goes horribly — and often kills the vibe. Please stop playing down-tempo rap after bangers. Don’t kill my vibe! As far as getting drinks, go for something bottled as they DEFINITELY water down their hard alcohol. They usually have a beer on special for around $ 6 or so. Could be worse. I’ve never had an issue here, just don’t be a little shit disturber. Keep to yourself, don’t take anything personally from the staff — they are rude, snotty douchebags, but whatever. It’s downtown Vancouver. You take what you can get. Get a group of friends and have fun!

This is a great place to go if you want to be groped. I had a TERRIBLE experience, first they took forever to let me in because I used my passport as identification. FIVE cops came over and passed it around and then they asked what other ID I had and ended up taking my citizenship card, my SIN card, and my COSTCOMEMBERSHIPCARD. No joke. Once I did finally get in, I was immediately dragged to the bar by a strange guy who bought me a drink and then asked me how many more it would take before I had sex with him. Yes the DJ was good but I was separated from my friends, pushed and pulled and grinded on by strangers, and at the point where I was in the centre of the dance floor, trapped in a circle of guys who kept lifting up my skirt and pushing me into each other, the bouncer came, took me by the arm, escorted me out and told me «You have to leave, and you aren’t allowed back in because you were being sexually assaulted. Everyone saw it.» You know who got to stay? The boys who were assaulting me! Where were those five cops for that? I asked if I could just go back to find my friends but of course nobody listened to me because I had been drinking alcohol bought for me by the creepy guys so I just walked home feeling awful about myself. Don’t go there.

I am shocked at the low stars for Caprice, it is a great place! I went last night for my 19th birthday. A promoter on the street gave us free admission(around 10:30). The bouncers were very polite. Inside it is clean, the sound system is great and the light show is fun. There are two bars, one downstairs one upstairs. The bartenders aren’t super friendly but they are polite and very quick service. It only took about 3 minutes to get service even with long lines. Prices are $ 7.50 for a mix drink $ 10 shots of grey goose. The bathrooms are incredibly clean, there is a cleaning person in the bathroom at all times who keeps it very clean. I will be back for sure! Don’t even feel the need to check out other clubs!

The music was good, there was a nice variation of things to bounce to. The DJ talked WAY too much, and he kept starting songs over, which was really annoying. :(One less star for that. My bartender, Tamara, was awesome! She made excellent drinks and was super nice. I really liked the room with the smaller dance floor and the lit ceiling. They also had pretty good drink specials.

Hands down the worst night club experience ever. Came here after an office party to extend the good times. Bad vibes since the wait in line here. Unfriendly bouncers and coat check staff — I mean it is Xmas — you can’t smile and be friendly? Ordered several drinks for my entourage and had a nice little dance — sat down at a bench after and was approached by a very hostile asian man saying this was«his» table. A extremely aggressive bouncer grabbed my arm screaming incomprehensibly at me and actually poured out my drink that I just bought for over $ 10. Absolutely ridiculous and will never be back. Stay away from this place.

Came here a few times for an industry party, a wrap party and a showcase and I feel gross in here. Basic dance floor, not even that large, slim pickings bar, average layout. You get the idea… not the best place on Granville when you want a night out. Staff have always been less than pleasant.

DONOTGOHERE Absolute shit. Probably one of the worst night clubs in Vancouver. Staff are extremely rude, and I doubt a week goes by that the police don’t arrest someone in there. Music sucks, gotta be from over 10 years ago, and liquor is watered down. Lots of fights, and idiots here. Save yourself from a bad night, and go anywhere else.

The Good, The Bad and The Caprice The good: The floor is big and smooth. The DJ plays a good mix of music, though some his more experimental stuff is a bust. Ladies get a discounted cover. The bad: The quality of dancers varies a lot — sometimes, it’s awesome and other times it’s decidedly not. The ratio of men to women also varies wildly. Last night, there were way too many guys, so I ended up standing around more than I like. Also, on Saturday night, sometimes there’s a lot of house music(which I like), other times, it’s few and far between. The Caprice: This place is sometimes four stars and sometimes two and I never know which it will be but since the last time I went I will give it a 4 star especially of the addition of LED.

Have been going to Caprice for the past 6 years. I’ve been to almost every nightclub on Granville, and can vouch that Caprice is consistently good on Friday and Saturday nights. The crowd’s diverse with an age range of college age to earlier 30s, but I’ve noticed it tends to be younger on Fridays. The DJs mix dance hits and electronic well in both the main room and L.E.D. bar. It can get very packed on weekends, but the nightclub’s large enough that there’s always areas to chill. It always looks clean and nice, no matter how busy it gets. What really separates Caprice apart from the other clubs on the strip is the staff hospitality. Saad has always been great every time my group’s been there. Derek and Chelsea are two of the best bartenders in Vancouver — great service, they’re fast, and they make great drinks. Compared to other clubs, the bar staff at Caprice is the reason why I give it 5 stars.

I came here on the night of my bachelorette party to dance the night away(well, at least until we went to Brandi’s). My now sister in law got us on the list as a bachelorette party, so we didn’t have to wait in line, or pay cover. Unfortunately, the free cover deal didn’t cover the boys in my entourage(including my man of honor). They did get to skip the line, but had to pay $ 10 to get in. I kind of get that, because they’re guys and not girls like at a typical bachelorette party, but still. I should just take the victory that they got to skip the line and run with it. We got to the club at 10PM on a Friday night, so the club was pretty dead. It livened up around 10:30PM, but for half an hour the dance floor was pretty much ours. The music was a bit lackluster though until after 11PM. I think the DJ really, really liked music from five years ago. As for the dance floor, it was a good size, but really sticky. Like, worse than movie theater floor sticky. My shoes literally stuck to the floor when I tried to dance. Do they ever wash it? As for the clientele, I’m pretty sure I was older than the majority of girls there. A lot of them looked underage, and were wearing dresses so short that I saw more butt’s than I could have ever bargained for. Especially if the girls were leaning against the balcony above the dance floor. It gave us a few laughs, but I those girls should re-evaluate what kind of guys they want taking them home. Especially when the majority of the guys at the club were dressed like they were extras on Jersey Shore. The drinks, although a bit pricy, were great. The bartenders knew how to make a bunch of different shots, and all of the highballs didn’t taste like they were super watered down. We also got served right away when we went to the bar, but it’s amazing how fast you get service when you’re wearing a tiara, boa, and veil ;) Overall, Caprice is definitely not the best club out there. However, it’s definitely not the worst. I had a blast with my friends on the dance floor both dancing and people watching. I do regret not checking out LED Bar that’s attached to Caprice, which means I’ll end up going back one day. If you do want to check out Caprice, try to get on the list so you can skip the line, and/or show up around 10PM to stake out a good place in the club.

This place earns a single star for going gangnam style sometime through the night. Downsides? Long lines, packed during the weekends, expensive cover/drinks(especially if you skip to the top of the line), and an unfriendly, hostile crowd. Did I forget to mention that I was the only person in the club who knew the gangnam style dance –_–

I have not been to this club in about 6 years, that’s probably about right. The one thing with Vancouver clubs that I could not stand was the fact that if you didn’t get in to the place by 10:30PM, your probably going to have to wait about 30 – 60 minutes, unless you are willing to shake the bouncer down. Well Caprice is definately one of those places, get in early, or wait and really get in late. I on the other hand was tagging along with some friends, and was in a different situation, and got the presidential treatment due to someone in the party having connections and also being their birthday. So for my experience here, compared to waiting in the line for a long time, I have to give an extra star for that. I always wondered if this club was packed inside right at about 11 – 12, or were they just holding up the line to make it look busy. I can gladly say that the dance floor was packed. Being on the balcony above(the setup of this place is alright) you can over-see the whole dance floor. There is also a VIP side on the main floor to your left with another individual bar. The music for this Friday night was definately in rhythm. Maybe I haven’t been to the clubs in a long time, but I know good music when I hear it. And the DJ here knew exactly what to spin to keep the crowd going. The crowd was pretty mixed, culture wise, and age wise. So, for at least one of those nights, I was one of those people who just breezed on by into the club, and into the VIP side, and got the bottle service treatment, it was different, and it definately added to the experience.
