If I could give this Pharmacy less than one star, I would. I have just left Buckshon’s without my prescription… again. I have a custom compound filled every month at the same time, and yet all but one time(out of 7) that I’ve gone in, there has been an issue. The front desk staff is unclear and difficult to understand, and have little to no knowledge about the compounding section of the pharmacy. Twice now, they have told me my prescription was filled only to arrive and find that it wasn’t, they didn’t even have the materials needed to make it, and the only person capable of making it was not in that day. Twice now, they have offered me free delivery a day after I needed my medication, only to have to wait around for hours later than the projected delivery time. Buckshon’s seems to cater well to the many seniors and local residents who come in to receive their free prescriptions. I apparently am the only paying customer with an issue getting the medication I need. To top it off, the staff acts cavalier about it, asking me every time if it is ok for it to be filled 1 – 3 days later. Needless to say, it’s not, which is why it is a prescription medication and not a bottle of aspirin. I would definitely not recommend buckshon’s compounding department, and I will be calling in to the manager to report all of this, and transferring my prescription to the one other Vancouver pharmacy that does compounds.

In one of the oldest sections of town is one of the oldest Pharmacy’s… and along with that you get lots of street folk, but since early 1940 this institution has been serving up remedies for all. They claim to be one of the largest and longest running independent pharmacies in Vancouver. They also work close with St. Pauls Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy in providing outpatient care services to over 15 emergency housing facilities.
