I have mixed reviews about this place. I needed a replacement acrylic knob-style handle for my bathtub. It was probably 30 years old. After searching Home Depot, Rona, Universal Suppy, Fairmont Fittings, and pretty much every other plumbing store I could think of, I came here. None of those places carried the knob with the special insert that I needed. I explained to the girl working there what I needed, and she prompty reached under the sink of one of the vanities on display and gave me a shopping bag full of them to sort through. She was more than pleasant, despite the pushy old chinese lady customer who was in the store before I got there. She was clearly doing a huge order with lots and lots of questions, and insisted that she got all her questions answered before anyone else got any help at all. The awesome news, they actually had what I was looking for! Now the not so good — when it came time to pay, she said $ 15 for the handle. No problem, sounds reasonable. Then she said, ok, so total comes to $ 18. In my head, I said, «huh? Did tax just jump up to 20%?» We both felt pressure from this situation from Grouchy McGroucherson so I didn’t think much of it at the time and I just wanted to get out of there so she could go back to helping. Sure enough, when I left the store with my invoice, the total on it was $ 16.80, but my visa receipt read $ 18. I wasn’t super thrilled about being overcharged but at least it wasn’t by very much, and I got the part that I was looking for. If it was a bigger order and more of a price discrepancy I would have got a refund for sure. Bottom line — make sure you know what they are charging you! I would use them again only as a last resort, sort of like how I used them in this circumstance.
