My first time eating Brazilian food besides ‘rodizio’ which is always too much meat for me. I was excited to try something new, especially some of their appetizers. Unfortunately, on a Friday afternoon, they didn’t have any of the appetizers and only one of the desserts. On recommendation from Brazilian friends, I tried the Bife Acebolado, which is two thin steaks topped with fried onions and served with rice, beans, fries, brazilian vinaigrette(tomatoes & onions) and farofa(cassava flour with fried pork). It was really delicious but super salty. I couldn’t finish the starches as I’m not used to eating both french fries and white rice together on one plate. The steak and onions had really good flavour though. I also recommend the Guarana soda. It tastes like Tahiti treat! The brigadeiro dessert(condensed milk and cocoa with chocolate sprinkles) was also delicious. Although service is friendly, they are extremely understaffed. We waited for our bill for over 45 minutes and then had to wait for the large party in front of us to pay. The waitress did apologize about the service though, saying she was the only one in that day. She clearly was, poor girl. They have a buffet served Monday — Thursday, which is strange as most buffet places here either have buffet service everyday or only on weekends, but this is probably due to understaffing. Overall good food but slow service. I hope they get some help soon!

If you are opening a Brazilian restaurant in Vancouver. Do it a little bit better! This one is the same as going to a crappy cheap restaurant in Brazil that serve 2 dollar lunch. Meat was hard as a rock. Beans was ok! The thing that got me pissed a bit more was getting a 15% service included in my bill… never seen that before here in Vancouver. Not recommended!

Where to start. Half past noon on Sunday, relatively empty. Service is friendly but so slow and unprofessional. No water, no additional plates as we requested, no checking up on us. We ordered one appetizer and two main courses. The feijoada was tasteless, missing some of the typical sides like collard greens. Maybe the chef wasn’t in a good day. The appetizer came after the main course. The second dish of main course took half an hour, we were about to leave when it arrived, and taste wise is was below average. I’ll give this a second try, but they need to rise up the standard to match the many places that surround it. Especially since its quite expensive.
