I am disappointed with the service today! I was left to wait for half an hour before they realized my order was misplaced. Please be more professional and value time of your customers or at lease make a sincere apology after realizing your mistake. PS Love the food as always!

Decent place for cheap food at Vancouver’s downtown waterfront if you don’t want chains like Subway or McDonalds. You can get a decent and interesting lunch for under $ 10, but you also have to be careful what you order. The website menu is outdated so don’t go by that. If you are looking for a wider selection of Turkish food, Anatolia’s Gate is a better bet with comparable prices. If you are stuck downtown, then Anatolia Express isn’t bad. Kumru($ 9.99) Basically a hollow pita with sausage and cheese. Supposedly has four types of Turkish salami. Good amount of meat from the sausage, but that also makes this item on the salty side. Slight heat from the bit of hot peppers. At $ 9.99 this is a reasonable alternative to a hamburger if you want«meat-and-bread» with not too much bread. Ayran($ 3.25) Sour drink of watered down yogurt with salt. Turkey’s national drink, apparently. Could be an acquired taste — if you haven’t had this before, you might want to have a friend on standby you can share with or give it away to.

I like this place for their turkish lentil soup and they give you bread with it — pretty cheap and filling lunch. However, the prices on the other items are a bit high and the portion size is lacking. It’s a little bit of a long wait(10 – 15 minutes) as I usually have a 30 minute lunch but the owners are super nice and friendly and they bake their own bread.

Amazing people preparing absolutely delicious food. With such an amazing view, eating at this place is a must. Will visit again.

–service is slow… it will take approx 10 mins for your food. so take a seat –the wraps and donair seem to be underwhelming –ambience is poor. –have the iskender for about $ 13. it’s good.

I’m very disappointed with the food and service when I visited this restaurant for the second time. When I came here about a year and half ago, the food was delicious and had generous portion. But this time, the donair I ordered was tiny and it had barely anything in it!!! The little filling was pretty much tasteless and dry ! I had go to Subway nearby for another sandwich afterwards, and you know what, it tasted waaaayyyyy better. I will never go back there again. It’s absolutely waste of money!

Disappointed. I would give zero star if I could. This place is going downhill. Save your money, go somewhere else. Seems like they don’t care anymore. Bread was hard and flavorless. Normally this wouldn’t matter so much but actually there was almost no filling in the donair we ordered so at least they could have done a better job with the bread. What little chicken(cheap or just lazy?) that was present was lifeless. You’re better off going to McDonald’s if you’re looking for a wrap. Worst donair ever! Overpriced and I wouldn’t go back even if they paid me.

One of the best places for a casual on the seawall on Coal Harbour side. They have a nice view. Prices are very reasonable, I would say cheap compared to the surroundings. And the food is awesome. My only complain would be that the service is a bit slow, but the food is prepared fresh. Love their fresh baked Pide bread.

Last time I was here, this place deserved my 5* review. Unfortunately, this time was a marked disappointment. The good: still the same Devore and fast, courteous service. So much so I hate to write a bad review, but… The bad: ordered the chicken iskender. A little disappointed that there’s no lamb iskender on the menu, but that’s minor. The iskender was pretty good, but the rice was cold and while not quite crunchy, about as close as you can get. The pita was also cold and a bit stale. I’m very sorry to see this place go down hill. I really liked it and considered returning something to look forward to when I get to visit this wonderful city.

This is a hidden gem behind the Convention Centre in Vancouver. You should check out their food. Though their main branch is in Burnaby.

The proprietors are very nice, but the food is very unimpressive. I’m shocked by the reviews, truly. First, I will say that the bread was good. But, unfortunately, it was a steep downhill slide from there. I ordered a vegetarian mixed mezze plate. The biggest problem was the stuffed grape leaves, which were unmistakably canned. Canned! These are a staple of Turkish cooking, something that any decent home cook can make, and there is no excuse for a restaurant using canned ones. They were mushy and the flavor was awful. Carrot salad was also very mushy. Other things on the plate were alright, but certainly nothing to write home about(or, for that matter, return to this restaurant for). My fellow eater had beef iskender and declared it «unrecognizable as such, but okay». We’re not eager to return.

Located at the Convention Centre next to Mahony’s. Bit of an awkward location and easy to miss, but the view is great! Had the Beef Kebab plate. For over $ 15 after tax, the portion was on the smaller side. But overall decent food.

PROS: — Food comes fast(10 min wait) — Great view — Owner is great guy — very friendly and nice — Great food… try the beef wrap instead of the chicken cheese wrap CONS: — It’s not a place you’d take a business partner to… ambiance is more like a small quick taco bell type place.

Let’s start with the best point, the food! The taste was really really good. A hint of thyme on everything really made me feel like I’m back at Turkey. I tried Adana(I really recommend) and the plate was so rich with lettuce and red cabbage salad, pita, delicious Turkish rice and a Turkish must-haves yougurt with garlic. I really liked the menu. They have Turkish coffee, Turkish tea and ayran, which are hard to find in Vancouver. I haven’t tried yet but they seem to have great desserts too. Everything was great, I will definately visit there more than once a week. But… Everytime I saw a Turkish restaurant it makes me wonder why not a better one! Because Turkish food culture is the richest in the world, it’s not all about doneir and kebab. If I were the owner of that restaurant, I would definately add at least two pages more to the menu. And a new playlist.

A nice mom and pop type of restaurant. A bit small, but very clean and the food is really tasty. The lentil soup was delicious, kebabs were good and they have a really good selection of desserts. You can watch the sea-planes take off while waiting for your orders to be served.

«How’s the Falafel?» «It’s amazing!» Oh really mister order taker! I’ll be the judge of that!!! Ok, it’s kind of confusing at first cause it’s not your typical look for place of this sort. They have a smaller menu with pictures outside on the left side off of the door. They have full menus on the left of the cash register that you can look though yourself. Yah, I walked in looking for a board with their menu and ended up stand there in the middle of the restaurant like a hungry zombie. Don’t be creepy like me. So of course I asked about the falafel and the guy said it was amazing. I haven’t heard anyone say that about a falafel since my venture in DC, however this guy I asked was working the till sooooooo GIVEITTOMEMISTER! After ordering it took a while for them to get my order going and I was getting a little impatient. It’s just a falafel, what’s the hold up? Out come this young guy with freshly baked pita breads… oh, take your time buddy. take your time! Pita, lettuce, tomato, fried ground chickpeas, and yogurt wrapped in a foil feeling warm to the touch. What is amazing? Almost! The fresh pita was very nice and the falafel was fresh, hot, and jammed packed with flavour. My only thoughts that would make this goodness even better. a little more yogurt! I have decided, this is my new after work out food! lol Yeah, I’m a fat ass!
