***OPIATE/OPIOID ADDICTIONTREATMENTCLINIC***This addiction clinic only prescribes Suboxone — no methadone, and it’s also only for beginners who are just starting a maintenance program. They won’t take someone who is already on suboxone maintenance. If you are a first time caller, ask a lot of questions, don’t assume anything as the reception doesn’t seem to know the above info about their own clinic. I told them that I’m a 12 year methadone patient looking for a new doctor and the receptionist told me to come on in. I came, and the doctor was an hour late seeing me, which I’ve been told is normal there. The doctor let me tell him my whole 20 year drug and methadone story for 20 minutes, and only AFTERALLTHAT he informed me that they only do Suboxone and further they only deal with beginners, totally wasting my time and breath. Very frustrating appointment for all the reasons stated above. I was initially attracted to the program because it’s one stop shopping. If you need blood drawn, need a psychiatrist, social worker, and want all your health care in one place, this is a good place for that. The doctor recommended a methadone Dr. across from St. Michael’s Hospital that would suit my needs better. I left frustrated and feeling as if they wasted an inordinate amount of my time. But if this is the kind of care that would suit you I would recommend it, except for the doctor being chronically late, like 1 hour behind.
