Wish I could give Wind Zero stars. Switched this summer to wind to save money, but 2 days later my phone inexplicably stopped working. After being told at duff mall to go to the Queen and Spadina location to have my phone sent for service(they would not replace my lemon of a Samsung), I was told they wouldn’t fix it despite no physical or water damage. I ended getting the address to the Samsung service center in Mississauga and $ 400 dollars later, still not working. After two more trips out of town to get my «new» phone working, I am the proud owner of a now $ 900 Wind pager/paperweight. 20 months until I can switch carriers and I am counting down the days. I also echo the other review to check to see if Wind gets reception in your apartment/work etc. Because mine doesn’t.

i finished my account with fido and i joined with wind, the guy working at the store said, starting first 10 gb, internet speed will be fast after that will be slow. So, i said ok n left. The next day, internet was slow when i was watching youtube videos. Next week, i called in Wind customer service and complained abt them abt internet service, they apologized and made me wait for like 30 mins, later they said, one of the ppl from internet service department will call me and after i cut the call, next day internet service was much better. After couple of days, it went back to shitty internet service again, i called them back n they made me wait for more than 20 mins when i wasted my break time waiting on the call with them at work. If i have to keep it short, i know its cheap, but internet service for wind is really bad. Even after they fix it, it still sucks and they keep saying, they dont have that much network coverage and etc… Seriously, i wish i could have given 0 stars, but 1 star is minimum. Big companies like fido have better internet speed and good service, but they overcharge too much all the damn time. So, it’s one or the other. Go for cheap plan and get shitty internet service or get overcharged fees and get a better internet service. Either ways, you are fucked. That’s all m gonna say.

They wouldn’t accept cash for bill payment. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would.

Bad service — I live downtown at union station — no service. When I called to complain they told me that well I had prepaid so the money I paid was gone. if you want to use these guys make sure you check that a friend’s phone works at your house before you switch over. I believe you get what you paid for but I don’t see the point in ripping off clients because you can’t provide them service. But out of fairness, arguing with any of the utility companies in Canada is as bad as a visit to an angry proctologist so good luck.

We bought a data plan and the guy set it up but once we got home, it didn’t work. We had to fix it ourselves. Would have been less hassle if we set it up on our own. Beware, these employees know nothing about cell phones or plans. They will sell you anything. The only good thing about this place is the location, right at Yonge and Dundas. Service is friendly. Overall, it’s OK.

I’ve heard a lot of bad things about Wind but the curiousity just ate away at me. Last summer, I moved and didn’t have enough time to set up internet at my new place. I went around the Eaton’s Centre looking for deals… stopping at Rogers and Bell. Finally I ended up at Wind and the manager was very knowledgeable about the products and suggested I get a Wind Mobile Internet Stick. He explained that I wouldn’t have to pay for the mobile stick right away if I had a credit card and every month I pay for Wind services, I’d get a credit that would go towards the payment of the mobile stick. In addition, the employee suggested I get the $ 40/month plan which included unlimited internet(adding that after 10GB’s it’d get slower to give Wind customers«fair usage.») Everything was explained well and I ended up getting the mobile internet stick that day. 4⁄5

So after speaking with the Customer Representative she assured me that everything was fine and that my credit check had been approved and that all I had to do was go to a Wind Mobile store to setup my post-pay account. Needless to say I went to Wind Mobile at Yonge & Dundas in Toronto and I was told that the port that supposedly they started 10 days ago was not complete so they couldn’t complete the activation and they couldn’t setup an entirely new account. You really can’t make this stuff up. It would be funny if it weren’t your time, money and frustration that Wind Mobile was wasting. I will say that all the instore reps were very friendly and apologetic. Anyway I finally got my post-pay phone and all is finally resolved. But the power of Social Media never ceases to amaze me. The ONLY thing these guys respond to is bad reviews on Unilocal,fb and twitter.
