I’ve been going here for two years and Yang has helped me relieve the pain of some very painful injuries, esp a frozen shoulder. He has worked on me with care and intense diligence. The results have been very positive. But take note: you will not get a soft massage here! This is deep tissue stuff– intense! But do not think for one second that you are getting anything less than the benefit of a true master practitioner. With gratitude!

I have come here for acupuncture, cupping, and massage. The workers here are very skilled. Yang is the owner and he has a very strong hand. His massages can be painful but it really helped with eliminating the numbness in my hands. I also got cupping and acupuncture here. The procedures here are safe and effective. I injured my rotator cuff and these methods helped a lot. I also noticed an increase in my range of motion after. The prices are $ 70/hour by a master or $ 85/hour by an RMT.

I have known Yang for more than three years, first when he was the lead therapist at before he opened his own practice at this new location. Yang’s methods are unconventional, painful but most importantly effective. He has helped me with neck/shoulder pains as well as tennis elbow. Highly recommended. (They don’t speak English well so be patient.)

I was pleased with the professionalism of Tuina. First when I called to make an appointment I didn’t leave a message and no one answered… To my surprise I actually received a call back the same day from Tuina front-desk saying«We had received a missed call from your phone #». Considering I bought my massage from Groupon, I was highly impressed that they called back even though they surely were swamped with volume orders. Aside from that I had my massage(just over an hour), and the atmosphere is actually one I didn’t mind. Many people would prefer to have their own private room, which I completely understand if you are paying full retail price for their services, however considering I bought at such a reduced price I didn’t mind at all. If I was however paying full price I would not be a fan of the open concept as I feel its diminishes the value of what’s being paid for. The actual location was clean(front-desk, washroom, and massage areas), and the service itself wasn’t bad either! I would return to Tuina, however I would not pay their full retail asking price. IMO their prices are a bit much considering what is being offered, however if you bought a deal — you’re set!

First of all, this place accepts insurance(because they have RMT there) and they are not by appointment only, they are a new business with not a lot of regular clients so if they are free you are very welcome to walk in. They also provide discounts for students and people without insurance. It seems not all of the therapists are RMTs but they each have their advantages and it’s always hard to say that RMTs are better than others. I haven’t tried the new male therapist yet but generally, if I want a relaxing massage I’d book Sally but if I want a real workout I’d book Yang. I like the experience there over all. The place is conveniently located, clean and simple. I’ve had about 7 visits so far and I think I would go back simply because of the location. The therapists there know their job and work hard to relax your muscle. If they are not booked immediately after they would usually work over the time. I feel a bit sour the day after the massage but much better in a 2 – 3 days. They are specialized in Tuina as far as I can tell. I haven’t tried other styles but I would go to somewhere else if I wanted a Swedish massage.

They’re a rip off of down the street. Called to make the appointment, and they don’t speak English properly — which I can understand, but he just hung up on me.
