Small cozy Chinese dessert place. They only speak mandarin but luckily not much communication is required since the menu has both Chinese and English. Plus all you do is write what you want on the order sheet they provide. We got the house special grass jelly(hot) with yam and red bean $ 6.99 — it turned out pretty good. No complaints here. The portion is quite large and can be shared between two people. We also got a sweet sticky rice mango dessert. It tasted good and I was surprised that the mango’s tasted sweet even this time of year. No complaints here once again but the one I had at Truly Thai Cuisine was much better. Also shared a teapot. The tea was sweet like honey and I think it was flavoured with date palm. This was probably my favourite item of the night because it was the sweetest. I think my sweet tooth got the best of me. Overall a very good place to get some Chinese desserts.

Went to this desert place with one more person. and i would not consider this place exceptional by any means. There area lot of desert places in toronto. and this is by far not one of the best. Ordered the Special Toast with ice cream, and i have to say, the presentation value is nice. The taste is nothing exceptional, but it is serviceable. i would suggest those who intend to try this place. to order it. as it is okay size wise and price wise. one of the few things in this restaurant which is considered an okay deal. The other two desert include the taiwan desert with grass jelly. and it was both not good size wise and taste wise. the sweet potato an taro ball were clearly not made in the store. as it has a large frozen flavour to it. as if its been defrost. and it is too sweet. whomever they bought it from. the texture is also not right. On top of it when you ask for a hot version of this desert, it is typically a desert where you will get it warmer. not literally steamy hot so that the grassjelly will melt. Finally the Curry fish ball, was both a bad deal, and doesn’t taste good. with eh fish ball itself, feeling something wrong inside. and the Curry just not curry flavor, its basically just spicy sauce. Overall i would not recommend this place to friends, but if your really in the area and desperate to find any desert place then perhaps try it.

Went there on Monday night with another friend. It is a small but nice place. The interior is cute. The color is warm and there are some cute little plants and stickers on the wall. We ordered curry fish balls, thick toast with ice cream, and their house special grass jelly desert. They are a little pricy for what they offer, size is a bit small. These three orders cost us 25 bucks after tips and tax. The thick toast was the best tasting of all. It was what I expected. However, the curry fish balls and the grass jelly desert was below average. Curry fish balls did not really have curry flavor, it was just salty, and one of the few balls tasted like already went wrong. I got the grass jelly desert in hot. However, they made the sweet soup too hot that grass jelly melted(I’ve ordered this type of desert in hot at other places, usually other places are very careful about the temperature and just keep it warm). Besides, I chose the taro ball, sweet potato ball, and peanut as toppings. The taro balls and sweet potato balls were not chewy at all which they were supposed to be, and there was barely any taste of sweet potato and taro. I would say for this type of desert, there are several other places do much better job with the similar price. I wouldn’t recommend my friends this place after all.

I have to say their tea was pretty good. It was not too sweet and good in taste. The tea pot was nicely stand on top of a fashion looking tea pot stand. The mango pancake was tasty because 99% cream and they could add a bit more mango bits. IMO it was a bit expensive with 99% cream and very very very little mango inside. I guess the money comes from the crape because it was freshly made? If I ever go back again, I might just order their hot tea and no more food items.

Tian Yuan Station is kind of cute. Think plushy toys, pastel colors and everything princess-y. Menu in the format of a children storybook. We were here in the afternoon and we were the only table. Waitress was sweet and«green», fit the decoration and theme perfectly. 甜圓黑糖燒仙草($ 6.99) House Special Grass Jelly Brown Sugar A healthy dessert and yes it is not sweet as you do need to add the syrup to adjust to your level of sweetness but I love the bitterness from the Jelly and the chewiness of the taro balls. It did remind me of Taiwan. Tian Yuan Station is worth a visit if you are in the are.(We were here because Double Ming was not open even after their posted opening business hour!)

I don’t really go to a lot of dessert places, I think this might be the 3rd one in my whole life. Out of the 3 this might be my least favourite one. I’m a little in the middle with Tian Yuan, it’s not exactly the worst but there’s not the best. It’s really just a so-so for me. Like someone had said in their previous review, the first thing I realized as well upon entering was the smell. To me, it smelt like those old children’s books that are made of what I would assume really hard cardboards? And surprise, that’s what their menus are made of. The menus were really great quality, wonderfully printed and easy to read. That I really appreciated. The place is a little small, but everything in this general shopping area is small. I was greeted with a friendly welcoming smile, so +1 there. It’s got everything you would find in a standard Asian dessert place, but here’s the one thing I was hoping for when I walked in. There were no waffles! Either I didn’t look hard enough or it really just wasn’t there! I ended up going for the house special brick toast w/mango ice cream. You do get your choice in ice cream. The fiancé got a caramel cheesecake. Naturally his came first because of course your just slicing up a big cake. It was nicely designed but the cheesecake itself was pretty … Meh. I couldn’t really tell if they made it their self. If you have gone to Café Princess, think of their cheesecake. It tastes pretty much on par. My house special brick toast did take a while for it to come out, and though I don’t think I really captured it’s beauty with the picture I had taken, they really REALLYYYY put a lot of time and effort into it, which is why I gave this place an extra star. The insides were cut up into small little squares and stuffed back in, nice and toasted for that mango ice cream to absorb. Every single corner of the brick toast and the plate had fruits and a small squeeze of whipped cream. You can really tell they put it their all. I’ve only had 1 brick toast in my past, and this one just really tasted like toast while the one I had from a while back was sweetened. To be honest I don’t know the proper way of preparing a brick toast. Overall it was okay. I mean … It was toast and ice cream. I really like this place for the friendly people and very cutesy environment, but there’s nothing really tugging at my heart strings to come back here. I ended up here because I was out at 1am looking for some sweets. And Tian closes at 2am on a Saturday. I had paid with debit, so that’s a good thing. A majority of Asian places don’t offer that, and when they do, there’s always some kind of limit. I was also offered to come back with a 10% discount card if I had paid cash. I may use it, I may not.

The first thing I noticed when I walked into the restaurant was this strange smell. My dad got the house special taro sago with coconut milk($ 4.99). He got it in cold and it was quite refreshing. There was a fair amount of taro in it. My mom ordered the mango shaved ice($ 6.99). For the size of the saved ice, I thought the portion was quite small especially compared to Cha Me Cha. The flavour was quite on point though. Lastly, my mango pancake($ 6.99) came and I was disappointed. It was so tiny! I expected it to be at least double its size for the price. The taste of it was alright. I would not be coming back here because there are so many other dessert places around with better pricing.
