The Massage Therapy Studio

Jonathan is the very best. I set about looking for a massage therapist soon after I got my first Big Girl Job with benefits, and I still go back here to Jonathan years later, even though I no longer work in the neighbourhood and I have to make special trips!
The studio is simple, clean, cozy, and welcoming. This is not a spa but a professional massage therapy studio, and the setting reflects that. Setting up appointments is a breeze — I always do it over email.
What set Jonathan apart from everyone else I tried is that he really took the time at my first appointment to understand what my concerns were, the nature of my previous injuries, and what I wanted to get out of massage therapy. Also, the second he put his hands on my shoulders for a few diagnostic squeezes, I knew he knew what he was doing.
He uses a fragrance-​free gel that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, and it’s not greasy when I put my clothes back on. He also tends to light a candle during my sessions and he’ll put on music that I request. He always has a heating pad waiting for me during cooler months, and I’m always very comfortable.
He’s very calming, kind, and soothing, but he can also work stubborn knots with a lot of power. I always walk out of my appointments with him feeling like I’m floating on a cloud! I will not see anyone else, basically, and I hope he won’t ever be too far away from where I live/​work!
