Gluten-free review: This place is not as bad as others make it out. Sure there are a lot of questionably looking people around but I’ve never had a problem with them. A lot of people return bottles here because they pick bottles out of recycling bins from local residents, but again they’re harmless and I’ve never had an issue with them. This location also has great store hours compared to other Beer Stores I’ve been to. They’re often open until 10pm and often when I go in there is hardly a lineup. I do tend to go on weekends when I’m returning my bottles, so weeknights might be a different story. In terms of gluten-free products they stock the best gluten-free beer I’ve had yet — Schnitzer Brau. It’s about $ 13 for a 6-pack of this delicious German goodness. I go here exclusively for this beer and don’t even bother with the gluten-free beer at LCBO. The only downside to this location is it smells of stale beer. Probably because of all the bottle returns people accidentally spill out leftover beer onto the floor and it’s not mopped up often. So basically, wear non-white closed shoes and you’re good. P. S. This location was sold to a developer recently so who knows how long this location will be around for.

They no longer carry Fruili — so the store rating had to drop. Sorry. The line ups are long, and for some reason there are way more people standing in line for bottle returns… they clearly have been dumpster diving to get the volume of bottles they have… so if I can’t get the beer I’m looking for, and the vibe is super ghetto, kind of makes this place go from being ok, to a must-avoid…

5 stars for being awfully«special», but that’s not how this rating system works. This location is the best beer store in the worst way: it’s always full of crazies and waiting line provides great entertainment, be it from the patrons or the staff. Do yourself a favour and stay clear in general, but do not approach after the street lights turn on!
