Telus CityPlace

The internet works well enough. Their customer service hours, though, are lacking as only the staff in that one store has access to your account.

Fast as lightening… goddamn it’s frightening! Living at City Place… don’t bother with other internet providers!
Having recently moved to City Place I was rather intrigued about Telus, and also happy at the prospect of ditching (my now previous internet provider who’s name we no longer speak).
I love everything about it:
1. Fast
2. Inexpensive ($ 50 plus tax for a decent package)
3. You can bundle with a residential phone line
4. Installation/​switching the darn thing on is fast… and they give you a time they will be there, none of this wait in all day nonsense!
The only thing that made me slightly sad is that you can not get TV via Telus.

This is perhaps the fastest Internet connection it has been my privilege to use since I left University. It’s insane how fast stuff downloads — I am the envy of most everyone in my office for the speeds I can get, as well as the transfer cap (300 gig!). The price is more than competitive, I feel, though the recent price hikes certainly reduce the edge there.
The installation experience was as painless as you could hope for. The installer came towards the end of the window that was specified. Fortunately, the window was 15 minutes wide, and when he was done inside of 20 minutes I had four Ethernet jacks with 100 megabit Internetty goodness. Since getting the service in April, I’ve only had one minor outage — while I was at work — and a minor billing issue that was quickly resolved.
If you live in CityPlace and get some other Internet service, I can’t imagine what your reasons could be.

Telus CityPlace provides residential high-​speed internet to anyone living in any of the CityPlace buildings. The internet is freaking FAST (up to 100mbps) and claims to be the fastest high speed residential service available anyway in Canada.
Downloading speed aside, I was incredibly impressed with the customer service at this Telus.
Ryan, the hook up guy, was super friendly and will come over any time at your convenience. I was able to book an appointment the day before moving in and he was flexible with time. No «4 hour appointment window» of waiting around. He was in/​out of my unit within minutes and had no problem coming back a second time (free of charge) to set up my wireless box.
No installation fees and the monthly service cost is $ 49.99. They gave me my first month free.
I am still in awe at how fast I can download! Wawawewa.
