Just get the Bare-essentials cause that’s the last of our doe!!! This fruit stand has everything you need at a sweet price. Even if you can’t find everything… You’re in Kensington Market, there’s a fruit stand two stores down. Recommendation; Start at this stand and then move to others… there is quite the wide selection. So there probably won’t be a need. Haiku Selection can hurt The person who wants it all This place fits for price.

As much as I agree with Mike S. about buying locally grown produce, I’m not about to take my politics out on Sunwah Fruit Market. This is one of the few fruit markets in Kensington that I will get my produce from. It’s clean, with great quality produce, regardless of where it’s from. The people who work there are hard working, kind, and very helpful. I work at a bar in Kensington, and we’ve had to make last minute lime/lemon runs to various fruit markets in the area, but Sunwah always has the best ones. The rinds aren’t too thick, and they’re always firm and very fresh, which makes them easy to cut well. We’ve purchased citrus from other stores, and they’ve been a bit squishy(ie. not fresh). Mike S. wrote: «Sunwah is essentially just a supermarket produce section with out the rest of the market». In Kensington, the rest of the market is there, just split into different stores. You get your fruit at the fruit store, and your bread at the bakery, and your cheese at the cheese store. This is the way it used to be before SUPERmarkets, and I can get much better quality & specialized ingredients this way. Sunwah’s prices are great too, and until I’m so rich that I can afford to always buy«organic» or locally grown produce, I’m quite happy with what they do. In the summer, there are always the local farmer’s markets(in The Annex, Dufferin Groves, etc), but they’re not exactly cheap. That being said, I have nothing against educating those who don’t understand the benefits of buying locally.
