When I walked into this place with a loud bell triggered by the door — I assumed to alert the owner upstairs. I could see up the stairs into an apartment. I waited in the shop for 20 minutes for someone to come down and help me, but no one came. I even re-triggered the door bell a couple times. I hate to give a 1 star review because the service and quality may be just fine, but if they aren’t even around to serve me, how can I know? It seemed clean and adequate inside. Definitely old school appearance. Nothing modern or new. Extra shelves and cabinets seemed to be stored in the front lobby which made it feel like a sketchy storage room/someone’s unkept living room. This is just a shabby little shop, something you have probably walked by a hundred times but never noticed. It was recommended to me by a friend of a friend. Upon first entry I was a little nervous, but I held true(mostly because the first place I visited told me it would be about 6 weeks until I got my clothes back). As it turns out I had nothing to worry about. I got my two dresses back in a week, and a $ 18 price tag hits the spot. From what I can see the work that was done(zipper replacement and shortening the straps) was done well. The only downsides. They don’t seem very«professional». I’ve entered when there was no one there and had to wait quite a while to have someone come down. Also, when my dress was returned it did smell a little like an old man. Still. I would go back again.
