This is a very well-stocked tea shop at Leslieville, which sells a variety of teas(black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh, rooibos, herbal, tisanes) as well as tea accessories such as teapots, tea filters, tea mugs and even small tea-infused treats. I really like the setup of the shop, where there’s a round tin for each type of tea set up on the tea shelves where customers can take the tin and enjoy the smell of the tea. I bought myself five sampler pouches each for $ 1.75 and tried two of them – I love the Black Currant tea, but the Rooibos Coconut Almond is also a great way to end off the day on a non-caffeiney note. I also bought a small matcha white-chocolate bar and green tea mints; would’ve also bought some TeaAura tea-infused shortbread, but unfortunately they ran out of the Matcha Green Tea flavour on the weekend I went :( Conclusion: Not bad at all; I can drop by to sample some tea whenever I’m in Leslieville…

I’ve always been more of a coffee fan than a tea person. That’s changing. I discovered Steeped and Infused in the spring, when Matt Kantor held a Secret Pickle dinner here, and used some of the teas in each course. Jennifer spoke to each of the teas that night, and also gave us samplers to take home. She’s very knowledgeable about her product and the benefits of each tea. One thing I really like about her shop is that she has samples of each of the tea out, so you can smell them. Each tea is described — ingredients, uses, history. She has great tea tools as well: pots, mugs, strainers. It’s a great little shop, very calm, organized, and beautiful. I’m a big fan of her Lapsang Souchong: it truly is the single-malt scotch of teas, with its rich smoky flavour. Other favorites are Old Pu-erh, which is a good digestif after dinner, and rooibos coconut almond, a total reward for the middle of the afternoon.

Average and a bit out of the way. Hours were confusing as the first time I was there the hours said they should have been open but an hour into the day they were not open. Found the selection average.

Steeped & Infused is awesome! Steeped & Infused has super friendly staff. She offered me free sample of their refreshing Raspberry iced tea and all ready to help me or asking any questions I might have with all their selections. Love the little sampling tea pouches for $ 1.75 so you can try out a few of their teas… 10gram sizes would yield around 3 – 4 cups. There is also a little sofa seating area in the front of the store if you just want to enjoy some hot/cold tea which looks really inviting. I was given a coupon for a free hot or cold tea for my next visit… so I better come back and get my freebie soon!

I didin’t think David’s Tea had any competition but turns out I was wrong! Steeped and infused is much closer to me and their selection is a bit more on the traditional side than its trendy cousin David. The girl at the cash was very helpful and even gave me a complimentary smoothing made from Almond Milk and Matcha Green Tea. I had a Groupon here and bought a small bag of the Japanese Cherry(green tea) and the AMAZING Fruit Tisane in Pear Cream. The Pear Cream is heavenly warm and even better chilled as an iced tea. If you check in using the Unilocal App you can get a coupon for your order too. Honestly the only thing making me give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that there is no seating inside… so it’s more of a take out tea shoppe.

Steeped & Infused. Clever, eh. The products: The tea is delicious & good for ya. Moderately priced. They also sell teaware & other gifts. The staff: Friendly & knowledgeable. You may enter a little dazed & confused… but you won’t be for long. The girl I spoke with had some great recommendations. The store: Fun & trendy look. The wall of tea is gorgeous. They also host events to learn more about tea and enhance your health. The deal: 5 Tea Samples for $ 5. Worth it! I picked up the Silver Needle White Tea, Canadian Blueberry Rooibos Tea, Yerba Mate Vanilla Chai, Green & White Mango Supreme, Japanese Cherry Green Tea samples. I also purchased the Peach Blossom White Tea. I think this is great idea for someone that doesn’t want to commit to 20 or 30 cups of the same tea or someone new to the loose leaf tea world. So far, soooooo good.
