Greeeaat fun! I had minimal experience in salsa and was able to jump right in to Rueda de Casino night on Friday. The only part I disliked was that the instructor moved a little fast and didn’t seem to really account for newcomers. Although, to be fair, I don’t think it was a night for newcomers. However, everyone was very accommodating for the most part. However, like most forms of ballroom dancing there are always going to jerks, cocky, arrogant rooster males and crabby older females who were upset that you don’t know the moves they’ve been practicing for a year lol, what can you do. For newcomers, I would not recommend going on the Friday nights because it is mostly Rueda, and you’ll be struggling to keep up with it, unless you’re used to Rueda. After it’s a relaxed social dance, but don’t expect too many amateurs or young people on Fridays. I am in my mid 20’s and was easily the youngest person there. Ages ranged from late 20’s to early 60’s. Despite some snobs and crabby old folks, I really had a lot of fun, one veteran even gave my friend some intro step lessons. I would highly recommend this club, based solely on the vibe, however, I may be unreliable as I only went on the one Friday night.

This dance studio is very fun and hip. I went there for Level 1LA Salsa dance class and I certainly had a lot of fun learning the basic steps and meeting people there. It’s a intimate studio so instructors often give personal instruction to students and provide students with proper info to improve on their dancing. The instructors there are super nice and engaging. You’ll have so much fun with them with their hip personality! It’s definitely a place that’s worth to be checked out!

This place is an amazing dance school and they host a great weekly dance social every Friday night. They have various dance classes including LA style and Cuban salsa, Bachata, performance groups classes, ballroom and more. They have friendly and super great dancer instructors, beautiful studio in the heart of Toronto and brand new hardwood floors and lots of free street parking. They have a casino Rueda class every Friday night followed by their awesome social dance every Friday night at 9pm. Door fee for the Friday night social is only $ 10 and u get the lesson, food, drinks and social dancing all included. Great value. So if you’ve never danced before or if you want to advance your technique and move to the next level give these guys a try. If you got all the moves come out any Friday night and have some fun. If you’ve tried other dance schools and not happy, give«Social Dance Spot» a try. You will learn dance and spend your money wisely.

Went here for ballroom dancing level 1 and really loved it. The instructor was funny and engaging, and took his time taking us through all the steps. In the ballroom dancing class, they teach you four different dances, and spend 2 classes per dance type. The first class may seem a bit slower but it helps build your foundation. I’m looking forward to taking level 2 classes soon! I do have a complaint about their website though. It is really hard to navigate and very slow to wait for everything to load. Would prefer a much simpler template. But don’t let that deter you from taking a class :)
