Shoppers Drug Mart

I thought I’d walked into Maple Lodge Farms when I stopped by today. Chickens with their heads cut off. Surly staff & long lines at cash. #fail

Good store however the checkout line is always really long and really slow with only 2 lanes usually being open.

Bad bad experience with the owner today. Really disappointed. I normally like this location, cosmetics selection is good, carrying Clinique and calling me when my products are in stock.
So yesterday I tried to buy my product and their system went down. Black Friday indeed! Lisa told me that my transaction did not go through twice and that their system was down and that it happens often. So she suggested I used my points to pay instead, so I did.
When I got in my car I checked my bank balance online and guess what?! The $ 36.16 did in fact come out of my account. I called Shoppers immediately. Lisa apologized and said I would be refunded right away. I told her I could not come back that evening, she said no problem come back tomorrow and we will take care of it.
Great, mistakes happen and I was looking forward to an easy resolution despite travelling out of my way yet again looking for and paying for parking on the Danforth! Not the end of the world.
So I went in the next day and I spoke with the owner and she said she could not refund me that it had to come from the bank and that it was a banking/​moneris issue. I was not impressed. Had bank statement and receipts and id and bank card all ready to go.
Who knows how long it will take. No coupon, no sincere apology, no credit note, no offer to reimburse me herself and sort out her issue with the bank. Needless to say not impressed.

I like this location. I stopped in today, and the staff was super helpful. they have a great cosmetics section, which quite frankly is key to getting a good star rating for SDM. I find it useful to pick up things I like which getting the necessities, without having to trek across the city.
Brands of cosmetics that I noticed: Benefit, Smashbox, Bare Minerals, Guerlain, Dior plus they carry Bourgois. If they had Anna Sui, I’d be happier, but the selection is pretty good.
