Deserves 0 stars. Worst SDM I have ever been too. Ever. Worse than any pharmacy, even those small dingy crammed ones beside walk-in clinics. The pharmacy is a JOKE. You either wait forever to get served(while they are chatting behind the counter), are rudely spoken to(hey old man that works there!) or they are incompetent and idiotic when you ask a question or call regarding your prescription. As per the prior review, that old haggard Russian lady at cosmetics is useless. Either on the phone or chatting with her single lady friends about how much they hate effin men(maybe swearing in front of a store of customers talking about your personal old-lady sex life isn’t what customers want to hear? maybe??). And she won’t help you if she is doing one of the above two things cus why should she do her job when she is busy yapping. USELESS. God I hate this store. Take the ten minute walk to the Finch location(or one minute drive) and save yourself.

We waited for our prescription to be filled up while the pharmacist continued to chat away with the gentleman who clearly was not a patient or a colleague. Plenty of laughs n giggles to alleviate my wife’s pain. What is it with poor customer service in GTA stores? It’s as if they don’t care about their jobs at all. Or maybe there are no repercussions! But once she got to us, she was attentive. No other complaints really. Store was clean n tidy with staff looking bored out of their minds.

Russian lady for the cosmetics section keeps talking in Russian on the phone. When I told her to show me some creams in the cabinet she told me there is no cream for me because of my age. I’m in my mid 20s and who was she to tell me there is no cream for me. Had to go to another store to buy the cream that I have been using.

This Shoppers is conveniently located in Newtonbrook Plaza by Yonge and Cummer. It’s moderately sized Shoppers, with your usual post office at the back. Open till 10pm throughout the week, which is kind of nice! Although, just down the street is the BIG Shoppers that is open 24 hours up at Yonge and Finch. Why are there so many Shoppers on Yonge St.? Because it’s provocative, it gets the people goin! Due to its size, it sometimes lacks variety in brands, so if you are looking for something very specific and it’s not a national /international brand, you are better off going to the Big Shoppers. Hope that helps you Willowdalers! Bob signing out and aboot!
