Knives have never been sharper, and they’re staying sharp!

I had a bunch of knives to sharpen, and didn’t want to trust any old business with them. Found Sharp My Knife, and tried them out.
SMK is a mobile service — they will come to your door to sharpen your knives. Yes, I know, we all grew up hearing the clang of the bell from the knife sharpening guy that used to troll around our neighbourhoods when we were younger, reminiscent of the greatest Monty Python movie of all time. Wouldn’t it have been great if they had yelled out «Bring out your knives!!!»?
But if these sharpeners are still around, they never come to my street, and my dull knives needed sharpening.
Prices are all laid out on the web site, and depend on the size of knife. He also does mower blades, scissors, spades, axes, saw, blades, or chisels.
He came to my house at our set appointment time, took my knives out to his van, and a short time later, my knives have never been sharper. One of my Global knives had a chip at the end of it (I really have no idea how that happened!) Smoothed it out no problem, good as new. Of note: one of my neighbours took the opportunity to come by and ask to get a knife sharpened, so by calling him out you may achieve good neighbour karma.
Note there is a minimum amount you must meet for him to come by your house ($ 45 for GTA and $ 65 outside of GTA) so you really do need to have more than 7 large knives and even more smaller knives to sharpen. However, if you combine with a friend, or you decide to include your axe collection, you should be fine.
