BESTCRABCAKESINTHECITY!!! I’ve been coming here for over 10 years just to buy them. I’ve gotta so many friends/family hooked on them too. Only thing is they used to be more spicy but they told me customers complained about the spice :(Either spice or not too spicy they are DELISH! Go buy some and enjoy!

The quality and selection can’t be beat. The prices??? Well, let’s just say you’re not getting any bargains here, but when you give it some thought… do you really want to buy bargain fish? Facilities are always clean and they have an incredible selection including the best tiger shrimp and scallops in the city. Gravlax is also amazing and their smoked trout is fabulous. I am known to make a mean smoked trout salad with arugula, avocado, olives, new potatoes and lemon dressing. When I do, I by my trout here. Great service, too!

This place ain’t cheap, but that’s to be expected in the Market, right? Still, this is my go-to place for seafood. Their smoked salmon is the bomb, but I have had issues before with their sushi grade salmon. There were numerous little bones that made eating it a tad bit dicey. One of my favourite treats from Seafront is the bacon wrapped scallops, OMGYUM! I often get the mussels too, though they can be hit and miss — sometimes very flavourful, other times not so much. The staff here are always friendly and willing to answer questions.

I was wandering around the market place and decied to get their«fresh» seafood salad. The shrimp was certainly not fresh and the texture of all the fish seemed to be off. The seaweed salad(which I am guessing they did not make) was good. I noticed some of the fish looked very fresh but the eyes on some were kinda dull(I would not have purchased them)

Seafront Fish Market is by far my favourite place to shop for fresh seafood when I visit the St. Lawrence Marke(which is almost every Saturday). Their seafood is always fresh, and I personally find their selection of scallops, shrimp, and mussels to be the best. Their prices are on par with the other seafood shops in the market, so don’t expect a bargain and they do offer some specialty prepared fish that are either pre-marinated or stuffed which is a wonderful option if you have guests visiting and would like to knock their socks off without spending hours slaving in the kitchen. I especially like their stuffed salmon offerings. Today when I was there, I picked up 3lbs of fresh PEI mussels and about 1lb of fresh squid… let me tell you, I cannot wait to cook those beauties up this afternoon! Yum!
