I came here after receiving a gift car from my mother in law who is a frequent visitor. I made my appointment half an hour in advance(called on my way home from work) and they were able to accommodate me with only a thirty second wait when I arrived. I went for the upper body massage which was very relaxing. They were very nice and even offered me tea as soon as I arrived. It is very nice inside. Highly recommended.

45 $ blow drys… I mentioned when I came in that I had extensions done which she said was completely fine. She(I can’t remember her name) Began to wash my hair(extremely rough for someone who is well aware of that fact that she is pulling on something falsely attached to my head.) then combed my hair and sectioned off to begin blow drying and proceeded to tell me how my extensions were done so «differently» and«unusual» compared to how she would’ve done it. & to be honest had she of not made me feel as if half my hair was being torn out during the wash I may have listened to what«technique» she recommended. But I haven’t had one problem with my hair thus far so. Yeah. If you’re into rough washes this is your joint

It’s a good salon. Clean. They seem pretty busy. I have had a few stylists over the years there and what bothers me is that when the stylist leaves, they won’t tell me where they went. That’s not cool. Anyway, it’s fine here for haircuts!

Best pedicure in the Beach. Period. I walked in and was able to be seated immediately, and was offered a choice of complimentary beverages. Polish selection was huge(Zoya), and they had all the newest collections on offer, along with swatches, which was immensely helpful. Staff was knowledgeable and recommended the«hot» colors of the moment. Massage chairs were very comfortable, and staff was amazing. Quiet — no chit-chat, which I appreciated. Very down-to-business. The result was the most amazing pedicure I’ve ever had. Their signature pedicure involves a heat mask step which feels absolutely divine on tired feet. My heels were baby-soft, and my cuticles looked pristine. Base coat, two layers of polish, top coat — really high quality stuff, since my pedicure looked great for nearly three weeks with no chipping. I highly recommend Fortelli. The only two shortcomings: front desk staff is on the cold side and could be much friendlier since they are the first people you see when you come in the door, and price. The signature pedicure(lowest level package) is $ 47, plus tax, plus tip. That being said, if you get regular pedicures, it might be worth it to get«better» ones that last longer. If the price was even $ 2 lower, I’d consider becoming a regular, but it’s the stigma of being closer to $ 50 than to $ 40 that keeps me from frequenting as often as I’d like. But if you’d like to treat yourself, do it at Fortelli.

I thought this was a pretty decent salon that was close by, so I bought my friend a gift card for her birthday so she can feel pampered. She asked me to accompany her while she went to get a body polish treatment. We booked the appointment for the both of us ahead of time and they knew we were coming together and what we each wanted. The first thing the lady says to me when I got in was that she had no time to do both a polish change and eyebrow wax for me. Then, she changed it to no polish change or eyebrow wax and only polish removal, and then changed it back again. Yes, I admit I came in with a type of nail polish she wasn’t familiar with and took a bit longer to remove but still, I didn’t feel relaxed. She was rushed because her next client was coming in, I felt rushed and in the end she left me sitting by myself and waiting for my nails to dry. My friend luckily enjoyed her body polish but she also expected a VIchy shower that was said to be included in any body treatment. She wasn’t offered this service. She also said that her esthetician kept insisting that she comes back to do a facial next because she«needed it badly». The lady that helped me did profusely apologize for being rushed and I was understanding, until I noticed that she billed me $ 35 for the polish change. When I complained I that I didn’t get a full manicure, the owner came out and told me that the service I got would have normally cost $ 50, but they gave me a deal since she was rushed and that she charged me by the minute because my polish took longer to remove. That makes no sense at all… I should only be charged for the polish change which was $ 10, or maybe a few bucks extra cause I sat there soaking my hand in acetone while she was preparing the room for the next client. I felt ripped off after going here. $ 30 to dip my hand in acetone for 15 mins and sit on my own for another 15 min. Not recommended.

I inherited a gift card for a facial, manicure, and pedicure at this fine establishment. The facial was great; the lady handled my super-sensitive skin delicately, and chose products that didn’t burn or irritate. I enjoyed the pedicure a lot — big massaging chair, cup of green tea, and somehow, someone skilled enough not to tickle the heck out of my feet. She suggested a fun almost-black-blue polish which I love. The manicure was slightly less stellar than the one at Aphrodite I’ve reviewed elsewhere — but I’m not sure their obsessive attention to detail and bone-melting hand massages are a fair standard to use. Everyone I dealt with, from the young woman who booked my appointment over the phone, to the lady who gave me the treatments, to the other staff, were really friendly and pleasant — willing to chat or leave me to my book. They did give me the sales pitch for the products, but were totally pleasant when I pled insolvency. It isn’t as luxe an experience as Elizabeth Milan or as pretty as the 100 Fountain Spa, but at $ 130 for 2 hrs, 45 mins of pampering, it’s a great deal and a pleasant experience.
