Wow! What a score for the city. A not-quite-hidden gem offering sweet respite from the chaos of Yonge-Dundas Square. And it’s free!

BOTTOMLINE: The building is gorgeous, the space is beautiful, the exhibits are great… and it’s free! With a distinctive modern but understated façade, it’s not readily apparent that this space is a photo exhibit or open to the general public for free. At night, this building’s top level lights up in an array of lights that transitions smoothly ROYGBIV stylez. There are 3 main spaces that house ever-changing exhibits. When I attended, their main exhibit was Gabor Szilasi’s «The Eloquence of the Everyday», which showcased some wonderful B&W photos. While the main exhibit was an expansive space with what must’ve been 20 foot+ ceilings, the other 2 galleries felt claustrophobic in comparison. Finally, the staff were friendly and helpful. This space is definitely a hidden gem in the art scene of Toronto — be sure to check it out!
