Desperately overpriced products. Service haughty. This place caters to the new influx of neighbourhood douchebags who are happy to pay for poor quality in exchange for being«seen» shopping here. Saw a quinoa salad I though I’d try: found out it was $ 11.00 for about a 1 cup sized container! What’s in it? Gold? Many products they carry are at grocery stores at 1⁄3 of the price… try Sobeys on Dupont or down the street at Loblaws. Meat products were incredibly expensive. Cured meats were dried out and plain. I’ll stick with my regular butcher shop about 6 doors west: Atlas. It’s been there for 40 years: obviously they’re doing something right. Much more reasonable and fresher. ANDFRIENDLIER.

Beyond being an excellent place for delicious meats, Roast’s shelfs are full of incredible food stuffs that will make your tastebuds smile. I personally love their sausages. So many great flavours. I have yet to be disappointed. The customer service is top notch.

I was quite excited to see this new butcher shop open up on St. Clair. The store is gorgeous(reminiscent of Cumbrae’s) and the staff are super nice. I am a meat lover and often go out of my way for good meat so I was quite happy this store opened near me. However, I was bitterly disappointed in the products I purchased here. Both the sausages and tenderloin steaks were not great. :(

Their dry aged beef is incredible. So tasty, so amazing. More than just beef, all of their meats are fantastic. I especially love their butterflied chicken in the apple brine. This is a must. Their prepared foods are also great. Be sure to try the chicken fingers and sweet potatoes.

I love beef. That being said, I buy it very rarely because I HATE bad beef. You know the kind… It has a shallow beef-ish flavour, chewy or mealy texture, and leaves you feeling more disappointment than your parents feel about your life choices. Roast does not disappoint. The store is squeaky clean and has many varieties of meat in raw, smoked and prepared forms. I was feeling a bit hungry, so I didn’t browse too much. I chose the cheapest steak they had: grass-fed ribeye for $ 24/lb. I came away with $ 30 for two ridiculously beautifully marbled steaks. I prepared it as per the guy’s instructions(salt, pepper, garlic and olive oil. 4 minutes a side for medium rare). These steaks were definitely worth the price. Flavourful and juicy, not a hint of chewiness. And despite the fat content, they managed not to start a huge fire in the BBQ. This shop will be my go-to for all my fancy meat buying needs. Plus, it’s open on Sundays and has late hours. Much more convenient than the otherwise fantastic mom and pop shops closer to my home.

This place is awesome! We happened to stumble in on a little walk through our neighbourhood. This is a gorgeous shop, filled with interesting, local, and unique food products. They also have various deli meats, cheeses, milk, and butter. Their freezers are stocked with various pre-made meals which look very tasty and worth trying on a busy night. Ended up leaving with three awesome sauces, one flattened whole Piri Piri chicken and a hot sausage. Cheryl was helping us today and she was just lovely! We can’t wait to go back and try all of the delcious looking meats!
