Such a cute store! redLetter is situated in a large shop in Yorkville, and the fancy tea sets were what caught my attention. There is nothing better, in my opinion, than a beautifully designed teacup to drink from(of course your pinkie should be up in the air as well). They have an extensive collection of teapots, making my inner Queen-of-England tremble in delight. If you walk deeper into the store, there are many other pretty things as well. redLetter contains keychains, candles, fancy stationary and cutlery with the most whimsical designs. Their items that are on sale are at the very back of the store, but they usually have pretty good deals. I got a set of 6 heart-shaped plates for ~$ 30, when it was originally ~$ 60! I wouldn’t really buy anything that wasn’t on sale, except for the teacups of course. They have brands such as Royal Albert and classiccoffeeandtea(yes, that is all one word, it is not a typo). The cashier who mans the place is so nice and helpful; she takes a while to pack up your items, but besides that is very friendly. redLetter is also a fabulous place for you to just wander and admire the«gadgets and gizmos a-plenty»(The Little Mermaid). Basically this store is the culmination of everything I love!

Stumbled upon this gem during the Bloor yorkville Icefest15. The lady who greeted me was extremely courteous. They have a large collection of gift items, ended up buying a cute sleek business card holder. The lady was very helpful and showed me all the options and helped me decide which one was the best. The prices were much more affordable than the ones I saw at Staples.

Very adorable store with great kitchenware! Although it is a tad pricey, I would definitely come back(from a bias, baking-loving person). The store has neat stuff that you cannot see in many store, I highly suggest to check it out!

If you are a tea lover, this is the shop for you. The store is brimming with teacups, pedestals, cards, specialty baking items, votives, and many other one-of-a-kind treasures that are hard to find elsewhere. The shop definitely has a feminine touch to it, and at every turn you will find something unexpected and charming. I was able to pick up some beautiful tins of Canadian Sloane Tea in the small sale section in front of the register and also a unique black and white gingham teacup set. This is a perfect place to prep for your next celebration or to pick up some small forget-me-nots for friends. These are some of the lovely items I found at redLetter:

Stumbled upon this place in Yorkville while trying to find journals. We didn’t have luck with that, but this store has some beautiful and interesting things. Excellent selection of teapots and cups. I would come back for those. Lots of candles, and many things I would never think of looking for! This is somewhere I would go to buy a chic, unique gift for someone.(And some things for myself, as well!) Walked away with a gift for my best friend. As well– wonderful selection of cards. Worth a trip.

redLetter, I could only assume it being inspired by the Red Letter Day deriving from the Mideval Times where official manuscripts and the initials of the High Court were marked in red ink. Also Her Majesty’s judges on Red Letter Day would wear their scarlet robes to honour wherever the hell this tradition came from. The merchandise sold here is rather far off from the ancestry of the name, but I grand the beautiful middle-aged woman who works here(and is likely the owner) a pardon simply because this store is great! A convenient Yorkville location without the extravagant Yorkville price, redLetter shelves everything a girl could confuse her boyfriend about where on Earth his money has gone, and why anyone would need half of the products available here… because let’s face it; half of everything in this store – a straight guy would never use. On the other hand, agendas, notebooks, and other stationary items come in a variety of. a variety of uhh… you know, there’s a lot of them. Different looking paper things. Instead of going to the big box stores and paying more money than days in the agenda, or pages in the journal just because that $#%t is ‘genuine leather’ or ‘lines with gold’, this is offers perhaps the top alternative in the over-priced economic bubble city of Toronto. For girls, this is one of the only bachelor-pad sized space in town you can get lost in for a good hour just looking at stuff. From bath goodies to caricature post-its, you you’re the type of fabulous girl who has never heard of the word ‘groceries’ and rely on Starbucks for your daily sustainance, you can find just about everything you need on a daily basis here. For the guys, get what you need here and tell your girl that you got it at Chapters. Finaly sale, clearance, one day only… no more in any other stores in the Country.

I love this place — it is the perfect, little gift store. They have beautiful items from quirky cards, the best candles, business card holders, glassware, and other neat and fun things. Every time I go in I can’t resist getting at least something, because there are so many unique and cool things here. I particularly like their Voluspa candles — as they have a vast assortment of them. They will also wrap them for you or they come pre-wrapped in paper that matches the candle colours. A nice little touch. The sales lady/owner is always extremely nice and is very helpful. Once I bought little gifts for everyone in my office and they weren’t big(those sarcastic sticky notes you can get) and she took the time to hand wrap each one with multicoloured tissue and then taught me how she made them pretty. What a star — that’s why redLetter gets 5!

Inspired by the idea of a «red-letter day»; that is, a day of special significance — this store has it all. The store emphasises design, colour and packaging, The sorta chic you get come to expect in Yorkville. Red Letter stocks home accessories, bath and body items, delicious treats, home fragrances and amazing stationery. They also create seasonal gift packages, masterful presentation and appropriately stuffed to the brim. I was there for yet another shower gift, and opted for the organic tea leaf bath products. The entire gift was a bit more than what I was looking to spend(in my mind, my jaw actually hit the counter), but to see the delight on sister’s face made it all worth the while! Too much time in here, and you could be looking at braking the bank. It is truly one of those store’s that you could just about buy everything in it, and justify it later! Simply put, a great store if your looking to make an impression!
