I have used Potato Skins twice in the past and was very satisfied with the quality of the materials and the fit. So I naturally went yesterday to get a third slip cover made there. The girl who«helped» me was so snotty and rude. She treated me as if I understood nothing about slip covers. Her attitude was so awful I left the store never to return. They just lost a $ 1500 sale!

I love this store. The fabric and service are amazing. I’ve had work done here — and I’ve always been over the moon with the quality, the efficiency, the kindness, and the accuracy of the work. I would happily give 5 stars — but it would appear as though Unilocal is filtering out all the positive reviews. Odd. If I was you, I’d check out the filtered results if you’re seriously considering reading Angelina’s long-winded diatribe… she sounds pretty bitter. My two cents: when you’re not pleased with a quote for any reason(as she states) — then choose another place! That’s why you get quotes! Also — how did she think something can be recovered without leaving it for them to recover it… Did she think the recovering fairies would come to her house to do it, or that the magical sewing gods can psychically put them on?! As with any review site, they provide a place for people to vent about pretty much anything. Take it with a grain of salt. If Angelina has made you concerned, I’d highly recommend you call Lisa… and make up your own mind about how«terrible» and«rude» she is. That, and you really shouldn’t take a review seriously when it has so many typos and relies on CAPS ;-) Happy couch recovering, fellow Unilocalers!

Lisa and Potato Skins are a great store with unbelievable service! I have had many experiences with them and have never had a complaint! They are always fiest on my list for work and/or advise ! I would recommend this company and staff to all !

Worst Experience Ever! The first time we went in, when we were unsure as to whether we wanted to use their services, they were the sweetest and extremely attentive. When we came back with our cushions their attitude quickly turned sour. The older woman, I believe the manager, was extremely rude(probably because she knew she had us). We were told a price double the amount of our initial walk-in, we should have turned around and ran. We were then told 3 weeks! Because they don’t do any of the sewing on site, not something we were told when we initially went in. Also, we were told we had to leave our cushions there leaving us with no coach for the duration. We FINALLY get a call saying the covers are done and we go pick them up. We get home and they screwed up one of the zippers even though we gave SPECIFIC instructions on how to sew it because it is a custom pillow. We bring it back the next day they are open(Tuesday as they are closed Sunday and Monday) and we are told it could take 2 weeks to fix a mistake they made, the only ‘apology’ we received was a ‘no one is perfect’. 2 weeks passes, no call. I call them, we are told that the cushion is done and that it ‘just came in’. Just came in at 3pm on a Saturday? Who are you kidding, lady? I was not born yesterday. We get the pillow home and low and behold the f’d it up AGAIN! I would love to say that I will never go into this store again but looks like I will have to if I want this pillow fixed. DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY, they are terrible, rude and have no idea what they are doing! Also, they are extremely expensive for all the mistakes they have made that we now have to suffer for. If I could give them a zero star I would.
