Buy A Dining Room Table has been in the middle of my to do list for almost a month, which usually means it’s never going to happen. In this instance, for one reason: everything I like I can’t afford. Having a fully empty dining room isn’t the weirdest thing, but the idea of it was starting to annoy me, and it was on my mind on a walk home. I took a slightly different route and walked down Gladstone, and there Pavilion was. A beacon of furniture light. I was in and out in 15 minutes with a dining room table. They were able to deliver within two days and assemble at a nominal fee($ 95), and it’s a beautiful piece made in Canada. Two days, almost instant delivery, made in Canada. Yes, those facts are worth repeating. The best part? It was significantly cheaper than any of the other tables I had fallen in love with. Hooray for Pavilion.

I placed a deposit on an amazing sectional with an estimated delivery of 6 – 8 weeks. No one from Pavilion contacted me to provide an update after eight weeks had passed. I was forced to call three times with mostly vague apologetic responses. They finally were able to promise of delivery time of 7 weeks late or 15 weeks total. I was so disappointed by the poor service I demanded my deposit back with my sectional finally due the following week. They were only able to offer $ 100 off the original purchase price of $ 2,600 if I went through with the purchase and wouldn’t even comp the shipping cost. Suffice to say, I will never step foot in Pavilion again.

My boyfriend is in love with this store, and to be honest with you, I’ve never been much into furniture or home décor. Not to say I don’t appreciate fine quality furniture or a nicely decorated house, but my idea of good furniture went as far as Ikea. There are a lot of pretty ecentric furniture stores in the Queen West area. Very modern and sharp pieces that are beautifully crafted and best of all you don’t have to piece them together at home. The plushiest couches, the most gorgeous wood tables and chairs, you just can’t help but admire the craftmanship. Pavilion, looking at the quaint storefront looks like another overpriced furniture store from the outside… But it’s actually not too bad inside. i’m not saying I would furnish my whole house with this store, I’d probably go broke and have to sell the house, but buying a few pieces would make all the difference. They have neat mirror pieces($ 150), and a beautiful wooden beach made from log pieces($ 500). Nice lamps and couches($ 3000ish). Worth a visit even if you’re just looking. Staff seem friendly and not pushy(like at The Brick). If anything, you’ll get some great ideas for your own home decorating!
