Parkdale Walk in Clinic – HealthCare Plus Medical Centre

I agree with the other reviewers that the clinic itself is lovely: a very clean, welcoming facility. The receptionist was also wonderful: very professional, efficient, friendly, knowledgable about the clinic’s services and eager to help me. I was also in and out of the clinic within half an hour or so — but with the services provided by Dr. Ammar Jabor, I would have much rather not gone at all.
When I tried to provide him with a history of a condition I’ve been experiencing for 5 months, and which another doctor has already mis-​diagnosed, he interrupted me and said «I’ll just ask you some questions, and you can give me ‘yes or no’ answers — that’ll make this easier for both of us.» Dr. Jabor proceeded to ask me questions that had nothing to do with the concerns I was experiencing, and wouldn’t allow me to say more than «yes» or «no» in response to them. He went on to explain why the doctor I had seen previously had misdiagnosed me — which I already knew, given that the tests she had run came back negative. He then provided me with a prescription to treat a condition I had already ruled out — I had already tried this treatment, but he insisted that it would work. He didn’t even look at or otherwise evaluate the problem area.
I left feeling completely disrespected and like I had not even been given a chance to explain the problem I was having. I was visibly upset, and Dr. Jabor didn’t care at all. I went immediately to the Appletree Medical Group at 1175 Queen St W where I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Jennifer Swales. The difference between the quality of service I experienced at the two clinics was like night and day.
In sum: don’t go to the Parkdale walk-​in clinic if you want to be treated like a human being, or if you actually want to explain your symptoms to a doctor who will genuinely try to diagnose you. (Try Appletree instead!)

Today was my second visit to this clinic and I have nothing but good things to say. I was in and out within 20min even tho I was a walk-​in. The personnel is very nice and professional. I recommend this clinic to everybody.
