Unfortunate turn of events left a sour taste for the furniture and people who run the store. I will glad spend my money and lots of it somewhere else.

What a mess! This place is a packed to the walls second hand junk store. totally waste of time going here. The prices are nuts for the soiled and dated furniture(sofa’s were actually stained and dirty. have you heard of bed bugs?) I could barely walk around and the staff was aggressive and pushy. it’s a garage sale with dept store prices. not worth the time.

This place is massive… it just seems to go on and on. This place is a consignment store… which means that prices on items drop monthly if left unsold. The price tags actually show the reductions… Jan 1 — $ 100, Feb 1 — $ 90, March 1 — $ 80, etc. etc. I scored a huge antique chandelier for my dining room. When I first spotted the beast, it was listed at $ 600…I waited and waited until it dropped down to $ 300 before I jumped on it. Problem is that during that time frame, someone else could easily have grabbed it and I’d been S.O.L. Great store with some amazing deals to be found.

Love this store. Great second-hand furniture and accessories. As the items are on a sliding price scale, so you have to keep going back if you want the best deal. However, things do go quickly, so you may lose the item you are interested in if you are a stickler on waiting for the price to drop. I always find a lot of cool iteMs there. But i have not bought anything as the prices are still a bit too high for me. & I have seen some HGTV designers walking through the store before… lol! Fun to go by and take a look, especially if you like vintage stuff!

Great place to find deals on second-hand luxury furniture and household items(think fancy legged tables and antique teacups). Of Things Past is not in the most accessible location but the parking lot always seems to be full and isn’t so far from designers row on Castlefield that it’s worth the extra distance to check out. Everything there is on consignment that works on a sliding price scale. Here’s what it says on the website: «Prices on merchandise are held firm for 60 days. Merchandise will be reduced as follows: 15% after 60 days, 10% every 30 days thereafter. After 6 months items will be priced at our discretion.» This system allows for some significant mark-downs if the item lingers but if you find something you want it’s always a gamble to wait on it and hope it’s still there when you come back at the next mark-down. I’ve never found any furniture there that I could afford but I have lucked out finding high-quality gifts and accessories. If you need an antique looking dining room table that seats 14 to put in the massive dining room in your mansion, but also want to save a couple hundred and don’t mind second-hand goods, then this is it! Chances are your interior designer shops here anyway.
