This is the quintessential local butcher. They run a nice operation and actually have sides of various types of meat hanging in their fridges. They feature meat that is at least AA and mostly AAA. It is well-aged and nicely presented. They will naturally trim and cut according to directions. This place is at least on a par with Bruno’s, but with lower than Costco prices. It started off as a Greek butcher and deli. It is still operating as that, with a lot of Greek and Mediterranean offerings. They have had a change in ownership in the last year, but have remained true to their pedigree. At Thanksgiving they feature fresh free-range grain fed turkeys. I am not generally a turkey fan, but last year bought one and it was outstanding. We use this place for a variety of steaks, especially my favourite skirt steak. Their trimming skills are non-pareil and they are truly nice and helpful. You must try their souvlaki brochettes. They are meaty and very reasonably priced. They naturally also carry a nice selection of cheeses and some deli, with a garlic head cheese being the star of the bunch. And you can peruse the aisles for all kind of specialties… A lot of fun and really good ‘eats’.
