I am a guitar player and Victor just re-did my gel nails and what a fine job he did. Not only am I impressed with the staff I am going to visit again and again every month to get them touched up. Thank you Victor. Russell

Very clean, they don’t yap with you if you don’t want, some of the customers on the other hand treat the staff like dirt and think they are several classes above people. The colour selection is amazing and my last manicure has lasted almost 3 weeks.

I went in during the afternoon on a weekday to get a shellac mani($ 30). No waiting — but the lady who did my nails seemed to just hate my vibe or was having a bad day. No real chit chat except to randomly comment that my hair looked like blood(I have deep red hair) and when I picked white for my nail colour she commented it was a ‘boring’ color. Erm… I stuck it out but felt a little uncomfortable after those comments. As much as I content with my nails after(long lasting!) I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are more positive, happy places(or at least no negative comments to your face) to get your nails done on the Danforth!

I just went to metro nails as it is in my neighbourhood and had received pretty good reivews. I was sadly disappointed. I had a mani-pedi. My one toe was bumped when the girl went to put my foot under the dryer and she just wanted to cover the bumpy gash with more polish. My cuticles on three of my fingers are still bleeding and throbbing. I didn’t want polish on my hands, I like the to look natural. The way my nails were cut and finished, they look like I bite my nails.

I wandered away from home this time and I’m pleased to announce that this is a decent place to have your nails done at for a very reasonable amount of money. I had a full set acrylic today because my natural nails become brittle and tear off in colder weather. The tech was very accommodating with my requests for a particular shape and lenghth and she made sure to double check her work as she moved along. She also consulted with me before she was too fargone from any particular step in the process. The cost was only $ 25. Yay! The only reason for not giving a full 5 stars is that she did indeed fumble with the polish a bit and due to the color I chose being more nuetral you can see the little streaks of inconsistency on a few fingers while other fingers are simply okay. Would recommened!

Had my nails done here for the first time and I really enjoyed the service. It was pleasantly quiet and no forced conversation, the lady doing my nails was happy to talk if I felt inclined but she didn’t create and drag out conversations which was nice. I was really surprised that they assign you your own little kit for each time you come back. I plan on going back here as long as I’m in town. If your looking for somewhere simple and clean to get your nails done this place is definitely good to check out.

I went to this place after reading some good reviews on Unilocal and came out very disappointed. The positives: It looked clean, had a great colour selection. And that’s about where it ends. Negatives: I found staff to be rude, they actually cut my nail and didn’t treat it(resulting in an infection) and I saw one of the workers pouring generic nail top and base coat into the OPI bottles, which I think is pretty deceptive. Both manicure and pedicure chipped within two days. I would not go back.

I am VERY particular about getting my nails done because I can actually do it pretty well myself, so if I pay for someone else to do it, I want it to be done right. I also like to relax while I’m there. It took me 2 year to find a place that lived up to expectation — this is it! THEGOOD: CLEAN: Everything looks new and very clean LAYOUT/EQUIPMENT: TV situated right in front of pedicure and manicure stations. Easy to watch but easy to ignore. Volume is loud enough to follow along but not so loud that it’s all you can pay attention to. Pedicure and manicure chairs are comfortable. If you’re getting shellac, the UV lights are built into the manicure tables which is a nicer and more comfortable setup for the customer. NAILCOLOURS: Lots of options for Shellac colours HOURS: Stayed open late to fit me in PACE: Did not rush through my treatment but they weren’t slow either TALENT: They did a great job. I had two different people do my hands and toes and they were both very good of what they do PRICE: Shellac mani = $ 30, and regular pedi = $ 25 THEBAD: NAILCOLOURS: The options for neutral colours(soft pinks, light nude tones) was lacking for regular nail polish. I’m considering mentioning this next time to see if they’re willing to stock up. Otherwise, I can just bring my own. WILL I GOBACK? I will absolutely be going back — this will now be my #1 go to place.

Metro Nails is my go-to place. Reasonable rates. My nails rarely break with bio-gel. free parking in the rear of the building. Love the cleanliness of Metro Nails.

Getting the pedi on a Friday is always a great way to finish off the week. I had intended on getting a mani and a pedi, but the timing was just not in the cards. Let me clarify, I had enough time for a standard mani/pedi sit down, but whether it was the engrossing(not) soccer game on the big screen or a brand new manicurist one of them definitely slowed the process down. I did enjoy the special attention paid to my toes with a hot stone treatment and intensive massage, and my toes are still going strong a couple of weeks later. The salon itself is nothing special, not clean enough to wax as per Abby R, but the utensils were clean and I haven’t contracted anything contagious yet. Price wise, while this isn’t the most I’ve ever paid it certainly is not the least at $ 25 after tip. Their deal for a mani/pedi is $ 35.00 so that seems a little more reasonable. Bottom line… when I am deep onto the Danforth this pedi place is a reasonable stop.
