The best marshalls I’ve seen. Americans be ready because this is not the great deals we are used to see. It shows on how empty the store is. Great selection for outerwear and activewear.

This store is huge — lots of space which isn’t being utilized. They have terrible selection of women’s clothes, the purse selection is average… however what this store does excel at is Designer Shoes ! I haven’t seen such great selection of men’s and women’s designer shoes in any other Marshalls or winners. Gucci, Prada, Dior, Ferragamo, Fendi… you name it, they carry it. They also had a great selection of really nice Ferragamo and Fendi wallets and bags during Christmas at prices 40−50% below boutique equivalents. They carry expensive make-up and perfumes as well. One can find Lancome, Dior and even Chanel make-up, all sold in special hard cases with lock mechnaism which is perfect as it preserves original quality of the products(you can’t really test it). They also have a very large section of furniture and household goods on the second floor — which to me is a waste since it doesn’t compare to the HomeSense selection and scale which is just a few blocks away.

The store is absolutely massive spreading over two spacious floors. Lots of room to roam around freely, plus the clothing racks and shelves are well spaced among one another. When the store first opened it was a little bit of a sad state because the arrangements of merchandise was poorly laid out. They have since changed the layouts a couple of times, but the most recent changes seems to work rather effectively. There is clear signage throughout the store and the selection of items are similar to most other Marshalls/Winners. Shopping here is an effortless experience with no chaos. I love shopping at this location right after my Wednesday evening workout at the nearby GoodLife since it’s not busy at all. I have the ability to shop in peace and simply take my time to shop. On most occasions, it feels like I have the whole store to myself. Of all my visits to this location I probably waited in line perhaps twice and never more than 5 minutes. I have shopped here during the lunch hour/early afternoon during the weekday, and there’s usually shopping traffic, but never busy. I sometimes worry this location will close due to the lack of customers. Overall, a good downtown location and the staff are always friendly, fast and efficient, plus they often engage in small talk.

I find this location really depressing. So much square footage with so much empty, wasted space. I picked up a few items and went to the upstairs change rooms which apparently are being switched, men’s to the women’s side and vice versa. Why bother? Do people even come here? It was so quiet with hardly any shoppers. Maybe it’s busier on the weekdays. I don’t know. I wonder how long this place can continue running?

Great store and often with has great finds. I pop by here once in a while to see if there are any great finds. They have a wide shoe selection and unlike Winners, it’s much easier to find your size as they are all in boxes. At times they have shoes on clearance as well. Recently, I scored a pair of sandals there for $ 20 marked down from $ 35 which is a pretty great steal. The clothes are a hit or miss. The best time to go is usually the beginning of each season, especially during fall time as they are have a lot of sweaters and cardigans for around $ 30 – 40. If you are petite, there are also great finds in the junior section as well. The hair and skin care section is another section that you can score good deals. They often have chi hair products at a discounted price and other brand name skin care products such as Bliss. The only drawback would be the home section as they lack variety and many times the packaging is damaged. The prices I find are also not a great deal. Overall, this location is not as busy compared to other locations will is great. The store is also very organized and all the sizes are on the appropriate hangers and sections(We all know how its like when the sizes are dispersed everywhere around the store… pain).

I walked around Marshall’s for about an hour, and did not find the exeperience to be much different than shopping at the Winners up the road. In fact, the Winners at College and Yonge has significantly more stock. However, if you are interested in furniture, Marshalls offers more of it. Though the price of this furniture can’t be called a deal. $ 300 for a chair? No thank you.

Winners with a slightly different product mix. Many might remember this location being the Toronto Playdium(an urban version of the Mississauga location). Ah. That didn’t last long. Unlike Winners this Marshall’s is quite spacious. Lots of room to move between the racks. And it wasn’t(yet) as busy as some of the Winners you might go to. Anyway, not a bad place to duck in and pick up some undies or socks.

I stopped by this store a couple of weeks after it opened and I had a great shopping experience. I managed to find a dress, pair of shoes and a top all for less than $ 150! The shoes were Adrienne Vittadini, some dress brand I’m unfamiliar with and a BCBG top. The store was clean, well laid out and everything was easy to find. I much prefer Marshall’s over Winners(though they’re owned by the same company). They do carry the same brands, with the exception that Marshalls does carry more designer labels. If I had a larger shopping budget, there were definitely more items I would have happily taken home with me. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, great store! I’m looking forward to the larger one opening on Yonge Street, just above Bed Bath and Beyond!
