Melonie is a pro stylist with years of experience. Her rates are reasonable for the GTA ($ 65 to retwist, $ 10 and up for an additional style) and she has worked with all hair textures.
Only downfalls for Majestic Locs might be the location for those far from Etobicoke and the fact that she won’t wash your locs (she asks that you come with your hair pre-​washed which can be daunting for newbies).
I waited a few months before trying this out myself but wish I hadn’t because she gave my hair TLC and my hair is thanking me now.
More cons: It is also a one chair shop in a residential location so expect no frills, just good hair styling.
More pros: natural gel only, won’t wet hair too much, friendly service and hair education
I RECOMMEND: trying a style. You can always sport it for a few days or longer to keep your parts neat and orderly. But expect it to be tight.
EXTRA TIP: Cash only and styles can go up to to $ ²⁰⁄₂₅ in my experience.
