Every time I’ve come here, I haven’t had much time to browse around. FIrst time, I just bought a bunch of herb plants they were selling outside. Second time I was just there to buy mixers for drinks. In and out. Service was very friendly the first time and fine the second time. They seem to have a good selection of bulk items as well as fresh produce and a butcher. I can’t speak to their produce/meat as I was there before closing last time and almost everything had been put away. I’d like to check it out again, it might be a good alternative to the kind of gross No Frills next door.

I love bulk stores so much. I love bulk stores even more when they’re cheap and have a kick-ass selection of interesting foreign foods and condiments. JV would get a flat-out five if they could fix two things. First, the number of expired products on their shelves(the best-before date is not a suggestion, people) and second, the dingy feeling on the produce side. I haven’t had any problems with freshness when buying from the bulk bins, however, and I did manage to find real ground peanut butter with salt — unfortunately, it, too, was about to expire.
