I live in the neighborhood for quite long but never give this restaurant a try cuz my friends told me not to come(the reason i will explain below) and i already have a favorite sushi spot on Lakeshore. On a tuesday night i and my gf want to have sushi but our place close so we give this restaurant a try. There was no customer when we came. I don’t comment on the service cuz they r all immigrant like me so i understand their communication skill. From our table i can see the way they prepare soup and drink.(there is no free tea or water in this place, u have to order) when the food come out, the lady accidentally pour my gf drink into our agedashi tofu, she still brings it to us. The agedashi tofu is cold so i know that they just microwave it. The sushi is not fresh base on its texture and taste. They keep miso soup on a rice cooker and the miso is just a bow of broth(i was expect something better than that). All item in their menu is quite pricey. plus there will be additional charge if u pay by debit. Overall, we will not come back here again and now we know how my friends feel when they try this restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone

We decided to try this sushi place because it’s around the corner and the sushi craving hit hard. On a Monday night we were the only customers, and all three employees came out to greet us. We noticed the prices were on the higher side, and settled on the dynamite roll, spicy salamon maki, and an order of sashimi. The food came out shortly after we ordered. The pieces were very large but the taste was lacking.

I rarely go there to eat(not sure why, it’s nice enough), but I have ordered delivery a few times and my guests always ask where I order them. They always compliment on how good the sushi tastes.

Seeing the reviews about the sushi being overpriced didn’t stop me from going, since higher price implies higher quality. Was I right? Yes I was. The rolls taste fresh and the wait wasn’t long(5′ max). They also offer 10% discount if you pay cash for certain items. 2 miso soups cost $ 2.50 and it was yummy. Everything was well worth the money. There was little rice, the filling was generous from avocado to the fish. Other places pack their rolls with only rice. Boo. So this place stands out. Service could be a little better, having a staff that’s fluent in English would greatly help but for the first try I absobluetly enjoy this place.

Nice little place in the neighborhood. Convenient and affordable for the area. Love going there for little takeouts.

a nice small little place. the service here is vey friendly, makes for a better experience. i only come here every once in a while and order off the takeout menu and it’s never been a bad roll. the deep fried sushi is surprisingly tasty, the warmness kinda throws you off but it’s a good meal. tempura shrimp is probably my favourite pick though, it’s hard to go wrong with it really. visually the meal is flattering too as a plus. the only bad thing i find about this place is that the salmon is lacking in flavour unfortunately, almost doesn’t taste like anything at all. overall a great place if you need a quick sushi fix!

Attempted to crush my sushi cravings but should have thought twice! I decided to come here for lunch and grab some takeout, seeing as I was in the area. When I walked in I asked for a take out menu and to my surprise everything was overpriced. Ive been to other sushi restaurants in the area and the prices were comparable to boutique sushi restaurants. For a typical bento box it was 20 $ or more. That didn’t phase me too much… until I was told the fish I wanted was not fresh… I had already placed my order and paid and just wanted to rush out. When I ordered a miso soup I caught the workers sipping away at the pot to see if it was okay. Which was understandable because they didn’t want to sell a bad product. But then I got home… and opened the«soup»(which was just a stock), and could understand why they were going at that pot for 5 minutes. I had a bite of the sushi and the salmon had no flavour, which was extremely odd… Needless to say I didn’t eat and wouldn’t go back there again. The service on the other hand was nice, they were very sweet people but I would question the prices and food quality.
