Had a friend recommend Jimmy’s when we were visiting TO. Fantastic atmosphere and a great medium roast. Wife had an Americano and said it was fantastic too.

Best Coffee in T.O. I like Dark Roast coffee and found theirs to be one of a kind.

Soooo the fuss is for real… it’s scorching out and my vitamin D deprived self is not complaining. Trust Me… so i decided to pick me up a little ice caffeinated something something and walked right into this little gem… With Iced brewed choices like Golden Iced Latte–(turmeric, ginger maple, and else) Rosemary’s baby– rosemary lemonade Jvo–(French vanilla, caramel and else) ALL under $ 5.00s and the lineup to the back of their store, I know I couldn’t go wrong with anything I order! And to top It all off with ahhhhh the yellow lids on their take out cups… so cute and trendy!!! I luv this place :-D

This is such a cozy place to come and have a cup of coffee in the morning. The people that work there are very friendly. Go early to get a good selection on all their treats. I love the chocolate almond danish.

Delicious. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but the apple cider is fantastic — neither too sweet nor too tart. My husband says they have great americanos as well!

Around noon on Friday afternoon, I waltz in to order two coffees, the lady on the till was absolutely lovely and the reason why this review has two stars. Saving Grace! It’s the type of coffee shop that they know you by your name. Anyway, I ordered my two coffees, one came up in a timely fashion, the prick just up and left the coffee bar with drinks.
The second coffee was delayed because the regulars got served first and I was not amused as I was on my way to Billy Bishop airport to pick up a relative. The coffee tasted burnt, I will not be returning.

I always go to Jimmy’s at Gerard location and I always enjoy my experience(coffee itself and customer service). I passed by Portland location yesterday on the way to a meeting and ordered a Cortado with an extra shot. The barista«reminded» me in a condescending tone that a Cortado already has a double. So I politely said I know and I need the extra shot for my meeting. He then proceeded to tell me, again in a condescending tone, that they use cream on their Cortado. In to which I politely replied that I know. I thought that was the end of it. But no, he started running his mouth off! He started complaining how some people come in to Jimmy’s and order coffee without knowing what they are ordering and they order coffee just because it sounds fancy. I’m pretty sure that’s what he was thinking when I ordered my coffee. Expect good coffee from this place but be wary of this barista. I prefer the Gerard location for their friendly staff.

Decent place for a cup of coffee. Got an iced latte which was pretty good. The espresso is directly brewed into a cup of milk, which is pretty uncommon. Assuming they do it to be efficient, but certain coffee nerds would go crazy over this. Decent space inside, lots of people on laptops doing work or something.

Visited Toronto a few months back and this was the first place I stopped. I had their house coffee which was perfect. The shop is quaint and welcoming, and the barista was friendly. I just beat the morning rush, so try to get there early to avoid a line out the door.

Visited Toronto with some friends and we stayed just a block down from this location and we had heard it was the very best coffee in the area. It’s a cute coffee shop in some sort of restored building that is really warm and home-y. It feels like you’re walking into some dude’s house who just so happen to invite you over for coffee. The baristas are really chill and friendly. They can make just about anything, but I decided to go with one of their signature drinks– Jimmy’s Very Own(JVO) which was an iced vanilla latte with caramel drizzle. Sounds like your typical Starbucks-esque drink but they really do it right here. The syrup is overwhelming the drink, the espresso is smooth, and the caramel drizzle is applied in just the right about. It was simple but I loved it. They take the time to get your name and they just got a great vibe going here! Loved it!

First of all, I have to say that I hate coffee. I am more like a Chinese tea person and not a big fan of the bitter taste of coffee at all. That’s why I always try not to go to any coffee shops, and always order two sugar and two milk for my coffee, if I have to take one to get some refreshment. One of my friends showed me «Jimmy’s Coffee» last Sunday after our brunch at Bar Buca, and I have to say I am deeply impressed and would love to recommend this place to others. We arrived at Jimmy’s Coffee on Poland Street around noon, and it was packed already. «like always» as my friend said. Unlike Starbucks, it is a boutique coffee shop with only couple tables in the back, and thus most people just order to go or hang out outside on the bench. I guess it isn’t the right choice if you want to find a place to do some work or study, but if you want to have a relaxing morning with some great coffee and maybe chat with a friend, then it should be a perfect match. Jimmy’s serves very high-quality coffee, very fresh. I ordered a large cappuccino with double shots and it was just great. Even though I have no idea why it tastes this good, it just does. And all the crews there are extremely friendly too. I think I will come back to Jimmy’s Coffee next time if I am in downtown, and maybe take my boyfriend here, who is also a coffee-hater.

Have been to this Jimmy’s location multiple times now, and great experience each time. From the espresso drinks to the baked goods, Jimmy’s knows how it should be done. Best americano I’ve had is from Jimmy’s. Also notable are the scones(they’re the perfect texture to dip in your tea). I bought a blueberry scone once, and had it with some black tea = amazingness. The pastry with fruit centre is also great. Had their greek yogurt sour cherry cup too which was nice. I haven’t had a bad food or drink experience here. And service is always fantastic. Lovely place!

The people who work here are always the friendliest and most welcoming baristas! I like coming in for a snack, a juice, a hot chocolate or a chai. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t tell you about that. Jimmy’s is a cute little shop in a house on Portland. It’s kind of tucked away but it’s definitely worth a visit. Who needs Starbucks if you can hang out here?

One of the hidden gems in the club district of Toronto, Jimmy’s Coffee has one of the best reputations(word of mouth and reviews). Located in a very unassuming house located on Portland St. Jimmy’s has a small 6 person patio located in the front of the store and a small seating area in the front and rear of the store and a back patio as well. The location has wifi and has enough power outlets to satisfy your power needs. The«Jimmy’s» name pays homage to a variety of different famous«Jimmy’s»(Jimmy Carter, Jimmy Hoffa, Jim Morrison etc) The staff here are awesome as I was greeted with a friendly«Hello» I ordered just a regular cup of mild roast coffee. The coffee was excellent and the roast was spot on. It was only $ 2, which was very reasonable. I was told all the coffee was«fair trade»(growers were properly compensated). Jimmy’s also carries a variety of tasty pastries and sandwiches(which I did not get to sample on this visit). If your looking for a quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown entertainment district. Have a coffee, grab a pastry and relax… 5 Stars

Came here around 12:30 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon while we were walking around the city. My first time here and had heard great things. It was warm outside so we both opted for a cold drink. My friend got an iced tea and it was delicious. We detected a hint of something but couldn’t put our finger on it. Pomegranate perhaps? I decided on the iced chocolate chai($ 4 for the smaller size($ 4.50 for the bigger size)). Sweet, a little spicy and delicious! I will definitely be back. I’d love to try the Americano that other Unilocalers have raved about and try the iced coffee. Check it out!

This is my favorite coffeeshop in the Fashion District. The staff is amazing, the people that hang out there are amazing and the coffee is out of this world. They serve coffee, cold drinks, baked goods, pre-made salads and sandwiches and all of it is good. My personal favorite are their toffee chocolate chip cookies and tablerone cookies. Going back to how amazing the staff is, there’s been numerous mornings in which I was super tired from partying the night before and they were were able to put a smile on my face and the coffee would sometime be on the house. Unfortunately there’s not alot of seating in the front but there’s a couple of tables in the back. When the weather permits, there’s a few seats in the from that you can use to people watch and to just enjoy your coffee and there’s also a patio in back and it’s a great little sanctuary that allows you to escape the stress of city life. Like I said, it’s the best coffeeshop in the neighborhood and I would highly recommend that you go check it out one day.

Dropped in for a coffee just strolling by. Great little coffee shop with nice ambience. Told them it was my first time here and they gave me my first coffee on the house! Great customer service. Coffee was delicious! Great little independent coffee shop if you live in the area to check out and maybe make your local. And they were playing Michael Jackson’s bad… In its entirety… No radio. Love it.

Decently priced high quality of coffee. There is usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly. Around 5 minute wait. There are a few benched outside in front of the entrance(still on property), and there are a few tables inside(they are usually taken).

Pas un café ordinaire, attention celui-ci est bien à Kensington Market, le nec plus ultra en matière d’endroit ‘cool’ à Toronto.
