The checkout line is slow, call others for backup, only a few showed for backup whether is the front or the back of the store. The manger or the other employees walk by and see the huge line up, whether their not helping a customer for a few minutes over putting some of the items on the shelf, and didn’t even bother to come for backup. I think they don’t care about the customers. to come for backup. Need more people in the front and back cashiers when is comes to a huge line up to pay. Have to wait in line between 20 minutes up to an hour more than an hour in line. Have good things. If an employeer or a manger moving a huge furniture from the back side of the store to the front of the store without saying excuse me, sometime they go slow or a bit too fast when is come to moving a heavy furniture and they have to learn to open their mouth for people to move out of their way.

I have been a dedicated shopper at Winners, HomeSense and Marshall’s for many years, I enjoyed shopping there because of their prices. My views on how they treat their long time customers however is another story. When I was in the Warden/Eglinton HomeSense store shopping awhile back, I reached up for a large(what looks like an one piece vessel) on the top shelf, as I tilted it to take it down, a lid fell hard on my head just above my left eye. I yelled in pain, an employee and store manager ran over to assist me. A bump the size of a small egg appeared within a couple of minutes. When I got home the area was purple and blue. I suffered a concussion with headaches, dizziness, nausea and loss of focus for at least 6 wks and not feeling myself for months after that. I had to seek medical help. This was brought to the attention of the District Manager/head office. I pointed out if the vase with loose lid had been secured and placed on a lower shelf this would not have happened, they barely acknowledged this. The team handling this was intimidating and unsympathetic, I couldn’t believe the callous way I was being treated. They were insinuating that I was exaggerating the symptoms and making me feel like a liar, even though the store manager and store employee witnessed a bump appearing before their eyes. I had pictures showing a quarter of my face being blue and purple. They offered me a $ 200 gift card, I finally accepted the gift card because I did not feel well enough to take it any further. This is laughable considering the pain, trauma and stress I went through and still continue to experience its residual effects. This has taken time away from my children, families and friends Wow. and to think I was naïve enough to think that they would have the integrity to treat me with some respect and dignity… L

I’ve had better luck at this HomeSense than I’ve had in all other HomeSense combined! The selection seems to be bigger, and the amount of broken/damaged wares are much fewer. And if it IS damaged, the red tag clearance price makes sense for the damage! I’ve been to other HomeSenses where I see a metal console table, where the edges are overbent and the raw, sharp edges of the table are exposed. DANGER! but it’s only discounted by $ 20??? Anyways, this Homesense left me with a red tag paper cutter that leaves a very fancy edge of paper, for $ 3. And a gorgeous canvas print including the frame, for $ 50. Happiness!

This a mega location for Homesense. The store is huge and the selection is vast so be prepared to spend some time looking for those treasures. I have been to many Homesense locations and this one is clean, organized and the staff were helpful. This is a difficult location to get at from Eglington but lots of parking in the rear of the store.
