Not too long ago, Nerissa Haines had done my hair. I was taken aback(in a pleasant way!), by the way she approached me. I came into the salon, she sat me down, offering me a glass of water, and asked me about my hair. My routine, how I wear it, when was the last time I had it cut. I felt like a princess! Not rushed, like one often feels in so many other places. And then she worked her magic. I have seen many a professional at work, and was extremely pleased to discover that she topped my list. She made suggestions. How often does that happen? How often do we, the customers, allow our hairdresser to play it safe and give us the«regular» cut??? I am not a hairdresser, and know what looks good on others but can never quite pinpoint what I’d like for me. I am open to experimentation, mind you, so I loved that my hair was being cut much shorter than my initial idea. With an elongated face, it is difficult to find a hairstyle that softens my pointy features. The layering was done so nicely that all it needs now(2 weeks down the road) is just a brush and I’m out the door, feeling like I have a mane of hair on my head. After Nerissa styled and made waves and I left the salon, I was pleased to see passerby take note and some even compliment me. What a wonderful day that was! I am looking forward to my next visit for sure.
