This is an outstanding«no name» flower shop on the corner of Dundas West and Glenlake. There’s pretty much nothing else in the area except for houses, some abandoned Croatian bookstores and a Witness Hall. Don’t get me wrong, you definitely won’t miss the flower shop(it’s pretty big!) but there isn’t any signage — I had to ask the lady working the cash to write it down for me and I took note of the address only because I looked at the house addresses surrounding it and used good ol’ grade 1 math to figure out the location. They have truckloads of fresh cut flowers(lilies, daffodils, tulips, roses, etc.), small potted plants for your table, patio or nightstand, climbers/hanging baskets and also garden flowers for planting. My thumb is positively black and deadened — I mean, flowers essentially wilt and shrivel in my presence — and yet somehow the flowers I buy from this place always seem to last. I think the lady who’s usually working knows by now what kind of plants are good for me… if something high maintenance catches my eye she’ll steer me in the right direction. I especially love buying potted hyacinths, lilacs and mini jade trees here. Super fresh and fragrant and they have a great colour selection.
