For the last few years during Winterlicious, The Drake hosts Guilty Pleasures. It’s a set menu Brunch($ 38, note last year was $ 35) that includes access to a Silent Auction and shopping brought to you by the Toronto Fashion Incubator. They have jewellery(include hand made one of a kind pieces), other accessories, and clothes. Yeah, it’s focused on women, so make a girls day out of this. Last year we had a bad experience, where we felt rushed and didn’t really enjoy ourselves.( ) After giving them feedback directly, this year we were invited back as guests, and found they did improve their scheduling and everything was running smoothly. It didn’t exceed expectations, but definitely met them. The first year we came, 3 years ago, we had goody bags — but they do have a door prize. There’s also a fashion show while you eat to get your excited for shopping afterwards. We all came out with some wonderful accessories, and a stuffed belly. Menu was the same as last year but with the addition of a cobb salad. The egg benny was really good. We did a big plate of pastries, mimosas, coffee, a macaron, and a choice of main. We’ll be back next year for sure. Free Parking streets west of the Drake, Beaconsvale and Northcombe. GETYOURTICKETSEARLY! It sells out quick. It only happens with multiple seatings on one day. Check around online in September to buy tickets.
